Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. The Pre-College Programs earn college credit and a corresponding official University of Pennsylvania transcript — unlike the Summer Academies, which are non-credit and end in a Certificate of Completion. Students may also request letters of recommendation from their Penn instructors.

Residential students have access to the residence hall, lounges, the gym, dining halls and libraries when classes are not in session. Residential staff plan daily activities — trivia and arts-and-crafts evenings among them — and extracurricular activities and trips are part of the programme. Outside those, students are usually studying, working on assignments, or exploring University City with the friends they have made.
