About

About the Course

The core product is a thirty-hour tennis programme spread over six days, open to players aged ten to seventeen of all levels. Coaching is on the grass courts in the grounds of Oxford University and on hard courts, led by professional coaches and players, with video analysis available on request and a singles and doubles tournament during the week. Players may book one, two or three consecutive weeks. The operator also sells the same coaching without accommodation to local players, and an adult group joins for the final week of the camp.

What’s Included

The residential package covers the core tennis programme, accommodation in Oxford University student rooms, meals and the evening activity programme. English lessons, the Performance Plus training block for players with tournament experience, the Sunday visit to London, a single-room upgrade and airport or Eurostar transfers are charged separately and are listed under extras.

Accommodation

Players are lodged in Oxford University student accommodation on the camp site, in twin rooms. An upgrade to a single room with a double bed is available for an additional weekly charge and is listed under extras. Children are supervised around the clock.

Meal Plan

Meals are provided as part of the residential package, which the operator describes as tennis, food, activities and accommodation. The non-residential option is sold without lunch, which the operator states on its own price table.

Activities & Excursions

Tennis is the spine of the week: thirty hours of core coaching over six days on grass and hard courts, video analysis on request, and a singles and doubles tournament. Evening activities include football, Zumba, real tennis and punting. A Sunday visit to London is offered at an extra charge, and English lessons with native-speaking teachers and an advanced Performance Plus block can be added to the week.

Facilities

The camp uses the grass courts in the grounds of Oxford University, with hard courts as well, and the university's student accommodation for lodging. Wi-fi is available on site. The camp has been running at Oxford since 1981 and the operator calls it its flagship.

Camp Experience

Oxford is the operator's flagship camp and draws local players alongside players from around the world, who come for an intensive, high quality and distinctly British tennis week - grass courts in a university setting, a tournament at the end, and evenings of football, Zumba, real tennis and punting. For international players the week doubles as an English-language stay, with lessons available from native-speaking teachers.

It sells and runs residential summer tennis camps for juniors on university campuses in England - on the grass courts of Oxford University and on the hard courts of the University of Sussex outside Brighton - as well as adult camps at Cambridge, non-residential technical clinics in London and tennis holidays abroad. The junior camps combine a thirty-hour core coaching programme with full board in student accommodation, evening activities and optional English lessons taught by native-speaking teachers, aimed at international as well as British players. Booking, pricing and payment are handled by the operator itself; the universities provide the courts and the accommodation.
