About

About the Course

This is a travel programme rather than a taught course. The week is built around a sport and leisure programme at the hotel, including a beach volleyball tournament, and four coach excursions: Split with the old town of Trogir and its UNESCO World Heritage sites, Zadar for sightseeing and shopping, the Krka National Park with its seventeen waterfalls including entry, and the coastal town of Sibenik. The operator publishes no lessons or tuition for this trip.

What’s Included

The package covers five nights at the operator’s own Hotel Marin*** in Pakostane in four- to six-bed rooms with shower and WC, air conditioning and mostly a balcony, free WiFi in the hotel lobby, half board with a generous breakfast and dinner buffet, return travel by modern coach with two overnight legs, the sport and leisure programme with a beach volleyball tournament, all four coach excursions named above, trained supervision and experienced tour leadership, and insolvency insurance. A double room is available for a surcharge.

Accommodation

Hotel Marin***, the operator’s own hotel in Pakostane on the Dalmatian coast between Zadar and Split. Rooms sleep four to six and have a shower and WC, air conditioning and, for most of them, a balcony. A double room can be booked for a surcharge. WiFi is free in the hotel lobby.

Meal Plan

Half board: a generous breakfast buffet and a dinner buffet. Vegetarian, lactose-free and pork-free catering is possible and should be stated when booking. The operator states that this trip is not suitable for participants with a peanut allergy or on a protein-free diet.

Activities & Excursions

A sport and leisure programme at the hotel with a beach volleyball tournament, and four included coach excursions: the port city of Split together with the old town of Trogir and its UNESCO World Heritage sites, Zadar for sightseeing and shopping, the Krka National Park with its seventeen waterfalls through fjord-like gorges with entry included, and the coastal town of Sibenik. Evenings are spent on the promenade and around the harbour in Pakostane. Further excursions and extras can be booked locally; the operator publishes their description about four weeks before departure.

Facilities

The hotel has free WiFi in the lobby and is the base for the sport and leisure programme. It stands in Pakostane, on the coast road between Zadar and Split.

Camp Experience

Spring on the Dalmatian coast before the summer crowds: the bays look untouched, the water is clear, the coastal towns are waking up, and after the winter rains the Krka waterfalls run at their fullest with the landscape at its greenest. The supervision ratio is about one supervisor to twenty participants. The operator states that this trip is not suitable for participants with reduced mobility.
