About

About the Course

Students step into the role of a doctor working in London. The programme is built from career simulations rather than lectures: performing key medical tasks in a London training hospital, mock patient consultations, practising taking blood, and learning to stitch wounds. Sessions are led by practising medical professionals. Contact time rises with the package length, from twenty-five hours on the one-week programme to sixty-five hours on the two-week Enhanced package.

What’s Included

The school offers a special discount - ask us for details.
The programme is sold in three lengths - one week, two weeks, and a two-week Enhanced package - and each can be booked with or without the residential package. The programme fee covers contact time with practising professionals, hands-on career simulations, programme materials and equipment, excursions to professional workplaces, on-site safeguarding and pastoral care, and a digital certificate. The Enhanced package adds an assessment centre with feedback, a graduation ceremony with a physical certificate, and the Level 3 Award in Work Experience and Career Planning, which carries UCAS points. The residential package adds the room, breakfast and dinner, and the evening and weekend activity programme.

Accommodation

Residential students live on university campus in central London, in halls of residence used by University of London students including those from UCL and LSE. The school names Garden Halls, College Hall, International Hall and Frances Gardner House among the halls it typically occupies. All rooms are single and en-suite. The one-week programme includes six nights and the two-week programmes thirteen nights. Non-residential students arrange their own accommodation.

Meal Plan

Breakfast and dinner are included for residential students as part of the residential package.

Activities & Excursions

An evening and weekend activity programme runs for residential students. During the programme students travel out to real workplaces and industry venues across London - up to two excursions on the one-week programme and up to five on the two-week programmes.

Facilities

Teaching is based on the UCL and University of London campuses in central London, with certain days held in other industry locations across the city, including a London training hospital.

Camp Experience

Students finish with a certificate and an industry reference letter for university and job applications. On the Enhanced package the work is assessed for a Level 3 Award in Work Experience and Career Planning, which carries UCAS points. Residential students are supported around the clock by a designated Pastoral and Activity Leader, house parents, centre managers and a medical office.
