More about this camp

Haileybury International Summer School runs on the campus of Haileybury, a leading British boarding school on a historic 500-acre estate near Hertford, north of London. It is a residential academic English programme for students aged 11 to 16. Programme and activities. This is positioned as an academic English programme rather than a general activity camp — the focus is on language study within a structured academic environment, using the school's facilities and grounds. Accommodation. Students stay in boarding houses on the historic campus, mostly in single rooms with a few doubles and triples, and room requests are considered. Predominantly single-room accommodation is a comfortable standard, and the school's own boarding infrastructure is used. Ages, dates and duration. The camp accepts students aged 11 to 16. Four sessions are listed, beginning in early July, giving a reasonable choice of dates. Location and travel. Haileybury is near Hertford in Hertfordshire, north of London. Stansted, Luton and Heathrow are all reachable, and London is close by. Transfer arrangements are not published. Who the programme may suit. This programme may suit families who want an academically focused English course in a prestigious boarding-school setting with easy access to London. Note that a separate Haileybury programme also appears in this catalogue — an English and Arsenal Football camp for boys, on the same campus — so families should be clear which one they are booking, since the two differ sharply in focus and in who they accept.
