Gordonstoun International Summer School: Residential Camp in the Scottish Highlands

The Junior Programme (ages 8–11) spans two weeks and offers a diverse curriculum that includes English as an Additional Language (EAL), Junior Science, and a range of creative and sporting activities. This blend of subjects is designed to enhance students' academic skills while promoting critical thinking and global awareness. The courses are tailored to accommodate both native English speakers and those learning English as a foreign language, ensuring an inclusive and enriching experience for all participants.

The all-inclusive fee covers accommodation in the school's boarding houses, all meals and snacks, academic tuition, sports coaching, creative arts tuition, outdoor adventure and sailing programmes, all trips, activities, and social events, onsite laundry, 24-hour healthcare from the onsite Gordonstoun medical team, and airport transfers from/to Aberdeen (Dyce) or Inverness (Dalcross) airports. This comprehensive package ensures that students have a seamless and enriching experience from arrival to departure.

Students reside in Gordonstoun's boarding houses, each equipped with single, double, or four-bed rooms, and private washrooms. The houses are staffed by Houseparents and resident assistants who provide continuous support and supervision. The accommodation is designed to create a comfortable and secure environment, allowing students to relax, socialize, and engage in various recreational activities during their free time. The boarding houses are integral to the community spirit of the summer school, fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie among students.

The meal plan offers a variety of nutritious and delicious options to cater to diverse dietary preferences and needs. Students are provided with full-board meals, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, ensuring they have the energy and sustenance required for their daily activities. The programme includes a wide range of activities such as sailing, climbing, abseiling, mountain biking, gorge walking, canoeing, and more. Additionally, students can participate in sports, drama, design, creative arts, cultural visits, and social events, providing a well-rounded and engaging experience that caters to a variety of interests and talents.

Gordonstoun boasts world-class facilities, including a sports centre, climbing wall, all-weather astroturf pitch, indoor heated swimming pool, squash courts, tennis courts, and a 400m track. The campus also features art and design workshops, music rooms, and performance spaces, supporting a diverse range of creative and athletic pursuits.
