A two-week residential Easter English course for students aged 12 to 17 at the IH London centre in Oxford, hosted at St Edward’s School. About the Course
Global Citizens 12-17 is a thematic general English course for students aged twelve to seventeen from elementary level upwards. Students have fifteen English lessons a week with teachers who specialise in young learners, in classes of a maximum of fifteen students. Lessons follow weekly themes such as Living Green, Exploring Creativity and Feeling Good, and are designed to build fluency, confidence and collaboration rather than to prepare for an examination.
What’s Included
The course price covers all tuition and materials, full board accommodation on campus, the activity programme and the study excursions. Airport transfers, the compulsory registration fee and room upgrades are charged separately and are listed as extras.
Accommodation
Students live on the campus of St Edward’s School in Oxford, in a supervised boarding school environment with care available around the clock. Single and twin rooms with ensuite bathrooms can be booked as an upgrade for an additional fee.
Meal Plan
Full board is included: breakfast, lunch and dinner are served every day, with a packed lunch provided on excursion days. Special diets and allergies are catered for when they are declared on the booking form.
Activities & Excursions
Afternoons and evenings are given to a supervised activity programme that uses the school grounds and sports facilities, including tennis courts and football pitches. Study excursions run from an excursion menu with destinations such as London, Bath, Cambridge, Windsor and Oxford itself, and include walking tours and visits to cultural landmarks.
Facilities
The Oxford centre is hosted at St Edward’s School near the city centre. The campus has extensive grounds, more than thirty tennis courts, football pitches and boarding accommodation.
Camp Experience
The programme is built for students who want to improve their English while living independently for the first time in a supervised setting, alongside peers of many nationalities. IH young learner centres hold British Council accreditation.
