Yes. Students travelling on their own who arrive on the opening day of their session can be met at London Heathrow or London Gatwick by a TASIS England representative, at no additional expense.
Students are placed by age group in separate boys’ and girls’ boarding accommodation on campus. Rooms hold between one and three students and most are double rooms shared by two. Friends and siblings are not placed in the same room, so that every student meets new people.
The three subject areas meet in one team project: students design, cost and run an original theme park or entertainment destination. They choose what to build, spend a limited development budget, decide what experiences to offer and work out how to attract an audience, then present the result.
The dining service offers a varied menu with vegetarian options and a salad bar, and labels dishes containing meat, wheat and lactose. The campus is nut free. Allergies, intolerances and special diets are listed on the medical form before arrival, and the School then advises on the arrangements it can make.
The campus Health and Well-being Center has nursing staff on duty twenty-four hours a day, and a hospital is nearby. Medical information, existing medical needs and any medication are submitted in advance on the medical form.
