We'll let you know when this camp adds new dates.

Concorde International runs this residential English summer course on the campus of Kingswood School in Bath, an independent boarding school that opened in the city in 1852. Everything sits on one site: lessons in fifteen classrooms each with whiteboard, CD, DVD and TV, boarding houses with one hundred and eighty-five beds, an indoor swimming pool, a large sports hall and an Astroturf pitch. The programme runs from breakfast to bedtime, mixing sport, arts and crafts, drama and dance with the English lessons, and the operator sells it on supervision and integration: staff levels are set so that students are safe, happy and mixing with others. Bath itself is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its eighteenth-century Georgian architecture, and the historic city centre and its shops are within easy reach of the campus.

Concorde International

Concorde International is an English language teaching organisation based in Canterbury, Kent, which runs residential and homestay summer courses for young learners on the campuses of independent schools and colleges across Kent and in Bath. The organisation publishes its own junior price list and junior terms and conditions, takes the registrations and the payments itself, and provides the teaching staff, the activity and excursion programme, the supervision and the airport transfers; the schools and colleges named in each course supply the classrooms, the sports facilities and, where a course is residential, the boarding houses. Teachers hold a minimum CELTA teaching qualification or equivalent, classes follow a task-based communicative syllabus, and every student receives a certificate and a progress report at the end of the course. Separate programmes are offered for individual young learners and for school groups travelling with a group leader.

More about this camp

The campus is the point here: every part of the course happens on it, which is what lets the operator promise the supervision levels it does. Teaching is in fifteen classrooms, each with whiteboard, CD, DVD and TV. Accommodation is one hundred and eighty-five beds across five houses for girls and boys, rooms averaging one to three beds with some taking up to five, most recently refurbished and with WiFi throughout. Meals are catered in the school dining hall. Beyond the lessons there is an indoor swimming pool, a large sports hall and an Astroturf for tennis, badminton, football and frisbee, plus arts and crafts from T-shirt design to costume making, and drama and dance. Kingswood School opened in Bath in 1852. Bath is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its Georgian architecture, and the historic centre and its shops are within easy reach, so excursions and city visits are part of the package rather than an add-on.
