LSI Junior English Camp in Brighton

Students aged 12 to 17 take 20 lessons of 50 minutes each week at the Brighton centre, which works out to just under 17 contact hours. Junior classes hold 14 students on average and 18 at most. Teaching is pitched at the age group and built around practical, interactive language work rather than exam drilling, and the junior course runs in both the winter and the summer intake windows.

Three ways to book. Tuition only covers the lessons and nothing else. The middle option adds lunch on school days together with an afternoon activity programme. The full package adds full-board homestay accommodation on top of the lessons and the activity programme, so a single weekly figure covers teaching, meals and a room.

Students on the full package live with a host family in a twin room on full board. The school also shares its campus with a student residence of en-suite rooms; the residence option at the University of Brighton is sold to groups rather than to individual bookings, so it does not form part of this package.

Homestay students take breakfast and dinner with their host family and have lunch on school days. The middle package includes lunch on school days without accommodation. The tuition-only booking does not include meals.

An afternoon activity programme runs alongside the lessons for students booked on the activity-inclusive packages, and LSI runs a cultural and social programme at the centre. On site there is a garden and a lounge with a table-tennis table.

The centre has free WiFi throughout, a garden, a student lounge with a table-tennis table and a kitchen for student use. The school and its residence sit on a single campus.

Brighton is a compact seaside city on the English south coast, with a direct train service from London and frequent buses. Shops, coffee houses, restaurants and a leisure centre are all within walking distance of the campus, and the seafront is a short walk away.
