A residential English Plus+ summer course for teenagers on the campus of Benenden School in Kent, run by Discovery Summer. Students take twenty hours of English a week in classes of up to twelve, from beginner to advanced, and spend their afternoons and evenings on a programme of sports, activities and two excursions a week. Accommodation is on site in the school boarding houses, with full board and round-the-clock supervision.

About the Course
Twenty hours of English a week, taught in classes of no more than twelve international students. Students sit a written and oral placement test on arrival and join an English Skills class matched to their age and level, with English Workshops alongside it. Levels run from beginner to advanced.
What’s Included
The course fee covers English tuition, accommodation in a boarding house on the Benenden campus, three meals a day with snacks, the activity and excursion programme and round-the-clock supervision by resident house parents. Special sports options are charged separately and are listed under Extras.
Accommodation
Students live in the school's traditional boarding houses, in bedrooms of two to six beds with shared bathrooms. Resident house parents look after students throughout the stay, supervision is close at all times and the staff-to-student ratio is at least one to four. Access to mobile phones is restricted to encourage students to mix, with WiFi available at set times.
Meal Plan
Three meals a day plus snacks are provided on campus. A healthy range of food is offered and all diets are catered for, including halal.
Activities & Excursions
Afternoons bring a wide choice of sports, arts and crafts, drama and nature walks; evenings bring team challenges, quiz nights, mystery and talent shows, traditional British games and discos. There are two excursions a week, to destinations such as London, Canterbury, Leeds Castle, Rochester Castle and Thorpe Park. Tennis, horse-riding and trampolining are available as special sports options for an extra charge.
Facilities
The course runs on the campus of Benenden School in Kent, a safe self-contained site with extensive grounds for sports and games, classrooms and boarding houses. The campus is within easy reach of London Gatwick.
Camp Experience
A British boarding-school summer with a wide mix of nationalities, including British children who join as resident English Student Hosts, so English is used all day and not only in class. Teenagers and the younger Benenden group share some social activities, so brothers, sisters and friends on the two courses can meet.

Twenty hours a week made up of English Skills classes and English Workshops. Students sit a written and oral test on arrival and are placed in a class matched to their age and level.

Discovery Summer
Discovery Summer is a British summer school operator with its head office in Kensington, London. It runs residential English Plus+ courses for young learners and teenagers at its Benenden, Marymount and Winchester centres, together with Global Young Leaders and Pre-University programmes, and non-residential day courses in central London. Every residential course combines English tuition with an afternoon and evening activity programme, full board and round-the-clock supervision.
