English and football summer course in Cambridge

Twenty hours of English a week, four full hours of lessons a day, in classes of no more than fourteen students. Football training is added in the afternoons and on Sundays and is delivered by FA qualified coaches. All training is conducted in English, and the school asks students to have intermediate level English or above.

The course fee covers tuition, football training, accommodation on full board, the activity and excursion programme and laundry. Airport transfers from Heathrow and Stansted are included on the school's published conditions. A registration fee is charged separately and is listed under extras.

Students choose between a homestay and a hall of residence, the same options as the Cambridge Junior course. Homestays offer twin or triple rooms about three to five kilometres from the school. Residences are supervised halls within a ten to twenty-five minute walk, with single or twin rooms, boys and girls on separate floors, live-in House Managers, bed linen provided and a student common room with WiFi.

Full board in both homestay and residence: breakfast, a packed lunch and an evening meal every day.

Football fills most afternoons and Sundays. Around it runs the full Cambridge Junior programme of sports, social and cultural activities in the evenings, with college and museum visits, punting on the River Cam and a full day excursion to London.

Lessons are held at St Andrew's College on Station Road in Cambridge, a ten minute walk from the city centre.

The course suits a player who wants to train seriously over the summer without dropping the language side: coaching is in English, the squad is international, and the rest of the week is spent in a university city small enough to walk across.
