A premium residential ski camp for children in L'Alpe d'Huez, one of the largest ski resorts in France, run by the Paris sports club Energy Kids Academy. The stay is all-inclusive: first-class TGV travel from Paris to Grenoble, a private coach transfer up to the resort, full-board accommodation in a ski-in ski-out chalet in the centre of the resort, ski instruction, ski equipment and lift pass, insurance and after-ski activities. Skiing is taught in private lessons of no more than four pupils by instructors of the Ecole du Ski Francais of L'Alpe d'Huez, booked exclusively for the camp; children are grouped by age and ski level and sit the Ecole du Ski Francais tests at the end of the stay. Supervision is round the clock by the academy's own coaches, at a ratio of one coach to four children. Away from the slopes the resort adds ice laser game, tennis and an indoor sports centre, and every group takes a dog-sled ride.

About
About the Course
Skiing is taught in private lessons by instructors of the Ecole du Ski Francais of L'Alpe d'Huez, booked exclusively for the camp. Groups hold no more than four children of the same age and ski level, so beginners and confident skiers are never mixed. At the end of the stay pupils sit the Ecole du Ski Francais assessments - ourson, flocon, etoiles, fleches and chamois - and take home the badge they have earned. The operator does not publish a number of lessons or hours per week.
What’s Included
The stay is sold as a single all-inclusive package covering first-class rail travel from Paris to Grenoble, a private coach transfer up to the resort, full-board accommodation, ski instruction, ski equipment hire, the lift pass, insurance and the after-ski programme. Parents are asked to contact the academy to confirm availability, as places are limited.
Accommodation
Children stay in a ski-in ski-out chalet residence in the centre of L'Alpe d'Huez, sleeping in rooms of two to three children arranged by age group. Meals are full board at the residence. Coaches from the academy stay with the children and supervise around the clock.
Meal Plan
Full board is included for the whole stay and is served at the residence where the children are accommodated. The operator does not publish a menu or details of special diets; families with particular dietary needs should raise them when enquiring.
Activities & Excursions
Away from the slopes the resort's covered sports and leisure centre is used for indoor activities, and the programme includes an ice laser game and tennis. Every group also takes a dog-sled ride, which the operator describes as the highlight of the week.
Facilities
The camp uses the ski area of L'Alpe d'Huez, one of the largest in France, together with the resort's covered sports and leisure centre. Accommodation is a chalet residence with direct access to the slopes; the academy does not run its own premises in the resort.
Camp Experience
The camp is run by a Paris children's sports club rather than by a language school, and the whole week is built around skiing with the same coaches who look after the children off the slopes. Supervision runs around the clock at a ratio of one coach to four children, and children travel together from Paris by train, so the group is accompanied door to door.

Energy Kids Academy
Energy Kids Academy is a private sports club for children, founded in 1983, with its own five-acre sports park in the suburbs of Paris and indoor gymnasiums in the city. The club teaches tennis, golf, football and multi-sport programmes and runs a door-to-door transport service for its pupils. Alongside its year-round courses, the academy organises residential camps for children: a winter ski camp in L'Alpe d'Huez and a summer water-sports camp in Corsica. Supervision on the camps is provided around the clock by the academy's own coaches, at a ratio of one coach to four children.
