About
About the Course
The weekly study timetable combines academic subjects with English language lessons, so that pupils carry the language into the subjects they are studying rather than learning it apart from them. Pupils are placed at the level appropriate to their age and prior schooling, and work alongside the college's own pupils across the curriculum. The placement runs for one or two terms, and pupils finish with a comprehensive academic report and a completion certificate.
What’s Included
The termly fee covers tuition, the English language lessons, full board accommodation in an en suite room on the college campus, pastoral support and the extra-curricular programme. Fees for this programme are quoted both with and without VAT by the college; the figure held here is the VAT-inclusive one. A registration fee and a refundable deposit are charged separately, and examination entry is not included. Pupils finish with a comprehensive academic report and a completion certificate.
Accommodation
Boarding is on site: pupils live in en suite rooms within the college building itself, which is unusual for a London college and removes any daily travel between residence and lessons. Room options run from single and twin rooms to premier and platinum single rooms. Pastoral support is included, and there is a dedicated study area for pupils under sixteen.
Meal Plan
Full board is included, with meals served in the college's Global Kitchen and House Cafe.
Activities & Excursions
Pupils join the college's extra-curricular programme as full members of the student community: weekly clubs, sports and activities, lectures, and university preparation sessions.
Facilities
The college occupies a purpose-built campus on Westminster Bridge Road on the South Bank of the Thames. It has more than fifty-five modern classrooms, five private tuition rooms and a dedicated study area for pupils under sixteen, science laboratories, a library, IT suites and an esports lab. Creative provision includes three creative arts studios, a graphic studio, a photography studio with darkroom, a performing arts studio, a fully equipped recording studio and a music technology lab with practice rooms. For sport and downtime there is a multi-sport court, a fully equipped gym, and common areas with table tennis, darts and air hockey.
Camp Experience
The placement is built for pupils considering a British school or university and wanting to find out what that actually involves before committing. A term is long enough to be taught, assessed and supported as any other pupil is, rather than to visit. Because academic subjects and English lessons sit in the same timetable, and because pupils board alongside their classmates, the language stops being a subject and becomes the medium of the day.
