Benenden Summer School «Sustainable Futures» is a two-week residential programme running 5–18 July 2027 for boys and girls aged 11 to 16. Built on Benenden's enquiry-based model, the course offers project-driven learning centred on sustainability, with at least 20 hours of academic content per week in classes of up to 15, alongside sport, social activities and five excursions. Students board in the school's Medway and Marshall houses with full board and pastoral support.

About the Course
The course uses Benenden's enquiry-based model: a project-driven learning experience with workshops, lectures and independent study built around sustainability. Students receive at least 20 hours of academic content per week in classes of no more than 15, pursue their own project interests and showcase their work. A minimum English level of B1 (Intermediate) is required.
What’s Included
The fee of £4,896 covers the full two-week residential programme, including academic content, accommodation, all meals and snacks, activities and five excursions (three full-day and two half-day).
Accommodation
Students stay in Benenden's Medway and Marshall boarding houses, experiencing the camaraderie of Benenden boarding with experienced pastoral support in the houses.
Meal Plan
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks are all included, with a variety of options at each meal. Packed lunches are provided on excursion days, and specific dietary requirements can be catered for when notified during booking.
Activities & Excursions
A full programme of social and sporting activities complements the academic timetable. Three full-day excursions are planned — provisionally to Brighton, Oxford and Thorpe Park — plus two half-day excursions.
Facilities
Summer students have access to the school's on-site facilities, including a swimming pool, tennis courts, playing fields and a sports hall, on a rural campus in the Kent countryside.

Students aged 11–13 and 14–16 from around the world live and learn together in a co-educational summer community, gaining a taste of British boarding school life while developing the skills to tackle the sustainability challenges of tomorrow.
