About

About the Course

Future Gen Study is a modern, skills-based academic preparation course for students heading into A Levels, the IB Diploma, Advanced Placement or university study. It builds academic confidence, English language skills, critical thinking and study skills using a CLIL approach. Core skills are essay writing, presentation and critical thinking; core lessons cover Innovation, Data and Design, and Global Perspectives; and each student chooses one specialist stream from Entrepreneurship, Digital and Tech, or Sustainability. Students work hands-on with AI tools and finish with an independent project and presentation. The course leads to a CPD qualification, and Be a Leader leads to a second one.

What’s Included

The school offers a special discount — ask us for details. The published price is for the whole two-week course, not for a week: the course is sold as a fixed two-week block and the dates on this card are the window inside which the two-week courses run. The price shown here is the residential one; the school also sells a non-residential day place on the same course, and that option is not represented by this card. The residential fee includes tuition, accommodation, meals, insurance, airport transfers, trips and activities.

Accommodation

Residential students stay in single ensuite rooms at DLD College, with a limited number of twin rooms. Accommodation and classrooms are in the same building, so there is no commuting. The management team and camp counsellors live on site.

Meal Plan

Full board for residential students: breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the college dining room, which prepares meals on site. There is also a coffee shop in the building.

Activities & Excursions

Afternoons and evenings are given to London. The school names the Tower of London, a football stadium, museums, evening trips and theatre shows among its weekday destinations; at weekends the programme goes further, to Oxford, Windsor, Brighton, Cambridge and Thorpe Park. Sundays are kept for rest and for Westminster itself.

Facilities

DLD College, London is purpose-built and entirely under one roof: modern classrooms including dedicated Art and Drama spaces, well-equipped science laboratories, a spacious atrium and social areas, a modern dining room with an on-site coffee shop, single ensuite bedrooms, and campus-wide WiFi.

Camp Experience

The building stands on Westminster Bridge Road, directly opposite the Houses of Parliament and overlooking the Thames; Big Ben is visible from inside. The school says students come from over sixty countries.

More about this camp

Get Ready for Future Gen Study is Academic Summer’s academic preparation pathway for students aged 14 to 17. It is built for the student who does not yet have a fixed career in mind but wants to arrive at A Levels, the IB Diploma, Advanced Placement or university able to think, write and present at that level. The course runs for two intensive weeks. Core skills are essay writing, presentation and critical thinking. Core lessons cover Innovation, Data and Design, and Global Perspectives. Each student then chooses one specialist stream — Entrepreneurship, Digital and Tech, or Sustainability — and works hands-on with AI tools, finishing with an independent project and a presentation. The course leads to a CPD qualification. Teaching uses a CLIL approach, so academic English is built through real subject content rather than taught as a separate language course. The minimum level of English published by the school is B2 on the CEFR, and the maximum class size is 12. Every student also takes part in Be a Leader, which leads to a second CPD qualification: professionals from business, sport, medicine, law and the arts share their own journeys, and psychometric, aptitude and career tests produce a personalised My Career Choice report. The base is DLD College on Westminster Bridge Road, directly opposite the Houses of Parliament. Accommodation, classrooms, laboratories and dining are all in the same purpose-built building, and afternoons and evenings are spent out in London.
