West End Stage Theatre Summer School in London

The course runs Monday to Sunday and is the same each week: drama, singing and dance classes led by West End professionals, working towards a final showcase performed on stage at His Majesty’s Theatre — home of The Phantom of the Opera. Students also take part in daily masterclasses with West End stars and receive a graded certificate and official t-shirt.

A course place costs £695. A course place with seven nights of accommodation and full board costs £1,545. A £250 deposit secures the booking and counts towards the fee.

Residential students (from age 10) stay at Trinity Laban near Greenwich in a single room within a shared flat with others of the same age, with ensuite shower room and toilet, shared kitchen facilities, 24/7 security and a designated DBS-checked chaperone on site around the clock.

Full board is provided for residential students. Day students should check catering arrangements with the school when booking.

Beyond classes, the week includes a trip to a matinee performance of a West End musical, daily masterclasses, and — for residential students — evening entertainment including a film night, cabaret and disco, plus a supervised day trip to Greenwich.

Training takes place in professional dance and theatre facilities: Central School of Ballet or The Place for day students, and Trinity Laban for residential students, with the final performance staged at His Majesty’s Theatre in the West End.

Now in its twentieth year, West End Stage gives young performers the chance to be taught by West End professionals, attend masterclasses with West End stars and make their stage debut in a real West End theatre — building confidence and friendships along the way.
