Earlscliffe's summer school turns a real international sixth-form boarding college in Folkestone — nine minutes' walk from the sea on England's south coast — into a themed academic summer campus, run in partnership with Summer Boarding Courses (Dukes Education). Instead of plain English classes, teens choose a specialism: global affairs, business, leadership or sustainability science. Key facts: Ages 13–17 (course-specific: Think Global! 13–17 from A2+; Business Mini-MBA 15–17 B2+; Global Leadership 14–17 B1+; Sustainable Futures 14–17 B1+; Uni Preparation 16–17 B2+ ran 29 June only). Summer 2026 dates: fixed two-week sessions starting 29 June, 13 July, 20 July, 27 July and 3 August (Monday arrivals; catalogue lists remaining future starts) — £3,495 for Think Global!, £3,795 for the specialist courses; Think Global! is also bookable flexibly for 1–4 weeks at £1,747.50 per week within the 29 June – 17 August window. Included: residential accommodation on campus, all meals, tuition and materials, sports and social activities, standard excursions with admission costs, graduation certificate, academic progress report and travel insurance. Extras: airport transfers Heathrow/Gatwick £140 one-way / £280 return (9am–3pm on published days), Stand-Up Paddle Boarding £145/week, paintball session £145, London musical trip £225, Warner Bros Harry Potter Studios £225. Multiple courses can be combined back-to-back. Easter course (8–17) ran 28 March – 11 April 2026 and has passed; enquire for 2027. Best for: ambitious teens who want a purposeful academic summer — business, leadership or sustainability — on a genuine boarding-college campus near the sea, with insurance and excursions already in the price. Parents should check: current availability by session, final prices and any promotions (a "second week half price" offer was published), room configuration, transfer times outside 9am–3pm, visa requirements and combined-course options. Information checked against official provider sources on 12 July 2026. Dates, prices and availability may change and should be confirmed directly with the camp provider.

更多关于此营地

Earlscliffe Summer School runs on the Earlscliffe college campus on Shorncliffe Road in Folkestone, on the Kent coast of south-east England. Earlscliffe is a working international sixth-form boarding college during the year, and the summer school is delivered in partnership with Summer Boarding Courses, part of Dukes Education. Programme and activities. The courses are academic rather than general-English. Think Global! is the broadest, for ages 13 to 17, and also comes in a flexible one-to-four-week version. Global Leadership is for 14 to 17. Business: Mini-MBA is for 15 to 17. A Science and Technology strand on sustainability runs for 14 to 17. The themed structure means students commit to a subject for the stay rather than sampling. Language requirements — check before applying. Each strand states a minimum English level: Think Global! requires A2, Global Leadership B1 or above, and the Mini-MBA B2 or above. These are genuine entry requirements, not guidelines, and they differ by course. A student with intermediate English may be eligible for one strand and not another, so establishing the level first will save a wasted application. Accommodation. Students stay in residential boarding accommodation on the Earlscliffe campus itself — a functioning boarding school rather than a rented venue, which means the pastoral and residential infrastructure is permanent. Ages, dates and duration. The overall range is 13 to 17, narrowing by course as described above. Sessions begin in mid-July, with between two and five arrival dates depending on the strand. The flexible Think Global! option allows stays of one to four weeks, which is more adaptable than the fixed formats common elsewhere. Location and travel. Folkestone is on the Kent coast, nine minutes' walk from the sea, with high-speed rail to London in under an hour and the Channel Tunnel terminal nearby — a practical route for families travelling from continental Europe by train rather than air. Gatwick and Heathrow are both reachable. Who the programme may suit. This school may suit academically motivated teenagers who want a subject focus with a pre-university flavour, and students already at a solid level of English who would find a general language course unchallenging. The rail links suit European families. Students needing to build basic English should look at general-English programmes instead, since the entry levels here assume competence.
