BSS Brambletye School Summer Camp is a residential camp for children aged 6 to 11, held at a preparatory boarding school on a country estate overlooking Ashdown Forest in West Sussex. The Explorers of the Future programme runs on campus, with boys and girls in separate accommodation. It may suit families looking for a first residential experience for a primary-age child.

住宿
学生在校园内适当的寄宿宿舍住宿，男女分开居住。学生与同性别、年龄相近的儿童共用卧室。每个房间有4到10张床。浴室是共用的。大多数员工居住在同一宿舍，并与学生同住。每位学生都有负责其福利的宿舍父母。校园禁止吸烟。

Explorers of the Future

The Explorers of the Future course is designed for young learners who are ready for their first residential summer school experience. The main goal is to develop and improve students' instinctive curiosity and their growing desire to explore, understand, and learn. The unique approach combines interactive English lessons with hands-on exploration of the natural world, creative projects, and 21st-century skill development. Hosted at Brambletye School, a preparatory boarding school set in the beautiful Ashdown Forest, the course provides a safe and inspiring environment where students build confidence, make friends, and discover new interests.
Students receive 20 hours of lessons per week, divided into three components. Core English lessons improve receptive and productive skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening, while extending vocabulary and deepening grammar understanding. Focus Exploration lessons are practical and hands-on, allowing students to specialise in either Exploration (studying habitats, plants, the animal kingdom, nature walks, and forest school visits) or Creation (art, dance, drama, and music). Learning & Innovation sessions are task-based and collaborative, developing the 4Cs of 21st-century learning: Collaboration, Communication, Creativity, and Critical Thinking. All lessons are taught in a communicative, interactive, and friendly way using relevant and current topics that encourage active participation. Teachers plan and deliver interesting lessons designed to build confidence and fluency. The maximum class size is 14 students, ensuring individual attention and support. Seven levels of English are available from A1 to C1, with students completing an online placement test before arrival and a speaking and writing test on arrival to confirm their level.
The course is focused on igniting curiosity, building confidence, and developing communication skills through interactive lessons, hands-on exploration, and creative projects.

Extra nights are only available in exceptional circumstances and must be agreed by British Summer School prior to booking. The fee includes meals and accommodation at the school, excursion (if spaces are available). Transfers are not included in the extra night fee, and an irregular transfer charge will apply. Extra nights are not available in the last week of the course.
