The Anglo-Continental Young Learners Summer Course is an English language and activity programme in Bournemouth, on the south coast of England, for students aged 10 to 16. Lessons are combined with an afternoon activity and excursion programme. Students are normally hosted by local families, with a residential option available on request. 20 General English lessons per week (45 minutes each) for ages 10–16 in a dedicated Young Learners school building, Beginner to Advanced (A1–C1), average class of 13. Course C-2.20 runs between 8 June and 15 August 2026, from 2 to 10 weeks, with weekly Monday entry dates.

The package price combines the official course fee (£1,210 first 2 weeks + £515 per extra week) with homestay twin-room accommodation (ages 14–16 rate: £830 first 2 weeks + £375 per extra week). Ages 10–13 pay a higher homestay rate that includes supervised door-to-door transport. At least 10% off full course fees currently offered for 2026.

Carefully selected homestay families in Bournemouth, twin rooms with light weekly laundry and Wi-Fi. Residential option (single en-suite rooms in Purbeck House) available on request. Young Learners staying over 27 days stay with local-authority-approved families.

Hot lunch Monday–Friday at the school; breakfasts, dinners and weekend meals with the homestay family; packed lunch for Saturday excursions.

The Young Learners Summer Course is run by Anglo-Continental, a long-established language school based on Wimborne Road in central Bournemouth, on England's south coast. The programme is aimed at students aged 10 to 16 and combines English tuition with a structured activity and excursion programme. Programme and activities. The course is built around the school's Young Learners English Language and Activity syllabus. Language classes run alongside sports, cultural activities and excursions, so that English is used outside the classroom as well as inside it. Accommodation. The standard arrangement is homestay: students stay with local host families in Bournemouth. This is the default for the Young Learners course, and students staying longer than 27 days are placed with local host families. A residential option in single en-suite rooms at Purbeck House is available on request rather than as standard, so families who specifically want residential accommodation should confirm availability and any price difference with the school before booking. Ages, dates and duration. The course accepts students aged 10 to 16. Published pricing covers two-week and three-week stays, at GBP 2,040 and GBP 2,930 respectively. Bournemouth is a coastal town in Dorset with beaches, parks and a compact town centre, well served by rail from London. Airport transfer arrangements are not part of the standard published package and should be requested from the school. Who the programme may suit. This course may suit families who value living with a British host family as part of the language experience, and who are comfortable with a town-based rather than campus-based format. It may be less suitable for families whose main requirement is on-campus boarding with round-the-clock supervision in a single building, since that is an on-request option here rather than the norm.
