Mais sobre este acampamento

Gordonstoun International Summer School runs on the campus of Gordonstoun, a well-known boarding school in the Scottish Highlands. The programme is specifically for younger children, aged 8 to 11. Programme and activities. The camp offers a dynamic programme for primary-age children, drawing on Gordonstoun's tradition of outdoor and character education and its striking Highland setting. Being built for 8 to 11-year-olds, it is pitched differently from the teenage camps that dominate this catalogue. Accommodation. Children stay in Gordonstoun's own boarding houses, in single, double or four-bed rooms. Because Gordonstoun operates as a boarding school year-round, the residential and pastoral structure is designed for children rather than adapted for the summer — a meaningful reassurance for parents of a young child, though they should still ask directly about staff-to-child ratios and night-time supervision. Ages, dates and duration. The camp accepts children aged 8 to 11 — genuinely junior, so a young child is not sharing with teenagers. One session is currently listed, beginning in mid-July; families should confirm whether other dates are available. Location and travel. Gordonstoun is near Elgin in Moray, in the north-east Scottish Highlands. Inverness and Aberdeen are the nearest airports, with onward travel required. Transfer arrangements are not published and should be confirmed, as the location is remote. Who the programme may suit. This camp may suit families ready for a first residential experience for a primary-age child, who want a famous Highland boarding-school setting with a strong outdoor tradition. The narrow 8-to-11 band means the child is among peers of a similar age. Families with an older child will need a different programme, as this one caps at 11; parents of the youngest should treat the supervision question as the first conversation.
