Mais sobre este acampamento

Dicker Summer School takes place on the Bede's Senior School campus, in a small village in the South Downs of East Sussex. The provider describes a spacious, modern rural campus with a sense of community and current facilities. Programme and activities. The core language course is English Plus, for ages 12 to 17. Several specialist strands run alongside it: Complete Football Camp and Football and Language Camp, Pro Tennis, Pro Music, and Zoology and Animal Management. Most are for 12 to 17; Zoology and Animal Management is restricted to 14 to 17, so a 12 or 13-year-old cannot take it. Course availability varies by date — not every strand runs on every session — so families should confirm that their chosen course is running on the week they want before booking travel. Accommodation. The campus has five modern boarding houses, the largest built recently and accommodating up to 90 students. Rooms are typically single, twin or shared with one to four beds, arranged to encourage a sense of community. The range from single to four-bed is wide, so families with a preference should ask what will be allocated rather than assume. Ages, dates and duration. Most courses accept students aged 12 to 17, with Zoology from 14. Sessions begin in mid-July, with five arrival dates on the main English and football courses and fewer on the specialist strands. Location and travel. The Dicker campus is near Hailsham in East Sussex, in the South Downs, close to Eastbourne and within reach of Gatwick. London is roughly an hour and a half away. Transfer arrangements are not published and should be confirmed. Who the programme may suit. This school may suit teenagers who want their summer built around football, tennis or music rather than language alone, and those interested in animal sciences, which is an unusual offering. The rural campus suits students who would find a city distracting. Families should treat course availability on specific dates as the first question, since the specialist strands run less frequently than the main English course.
