Mais sobre este acampamento

BSS Uppingham School Summer Camp takes place at Uppingham School, a senior boarding school with academic, arts and sports facilities in the market town of Uppingham, in the historic county of Rutland in central England. It is residential. Programme and activities. Three strands are listed, each with its own age range, and this matters when choosing. Citizens of the Future covers ages 13 to 18. Professionals of the Future is narrower at 16 to 18, oriented towards older students thinking about careers and further study. Footballers of the Future takes the widest range, 12 to 18, and is the sports specialism. A student's eligibility therefore depends on which strand they want, not on the camp as a whole. Accommodation and supervision. Students stay in boarding accommodation on campus, sharing bedrooms with children of the same sex and of a similar age. Rooms hold between one and six beds, and bathrooms are shared. The range means some students will have a single room and others will share with five — families for whom this matters should ask what will actually be allocated rather than assume. Ages, dates and duration. Across all strands the range runs from 12 to 18, with the upper end extending past school-leaving age. Five sessions are listed, beginning in early July, giving good flexibility over start dates. Location and travel. Uppingham is a small market town in Rutland, England's smallest county, in the Midlands. The school sits in the centre of town, and the provider notes that students have easy access to cafés, shops and restaurants — a more open arrangement than a campus set apart from any settlement, which some families will welcome and others will want to ask about in terms of supervision. Who the programme may suit. This camp may suit teenagers who want a clear specialism — football, careers preparation or leadership — in a traditional boarding-school setting, and older students approaching university age who would find a younger camp unsuitable. The town-centre position suits students who value some independence. Families of younger children should look at the provider's Brambletye camp for ages 6 to 11 or its Oundle camp from 12.
