概要

コースについて

The Embassy Summer language program focuses on developing communication skills. Classes are conducted in an engaging and interactive format in groups of up to 17 students. The course includes 20 lessons of 45 minutes per week, taught by qualified and friendly teachers. On the first day, students take a placement test to determine their level and assign them to an appropriate class. The curriculum is aimed at practicing spoken English, listening, and writing in real-life situations, with every student receiving a certificate upon course completion.

含まれる内容

The base package includes on-campus residence accommodation with full board, 20 English lessons per week, a program of on-site daytime and evening activities, and a series of scheduled full-day and half-day excursions. Optional excursions (e.g., to Thorpe Park, the London Eye, Windsor Castle) and guard.me insurance if needed are available at an additional cost. Group airport transfers can be arranged through Embassy Summer while individual transfer options are subject to additional fee. A refundable damage deposit of £30-40 in cash is required upon arrival.

宿泊

Students stay in single en-suite rooms within the university's halls of residence on the main campus in Zone 1. Rooms are equipped with a desk, chair, wardrobe, and bed linen (towels not provided). The residence features free Wi-Fi, communal lounges, laundry facilities, lifts, and 24-hour security. Embassy Summer provides a night supervisor for additional safety. Room keys are issued to students, and management holds master keys for emergencies.

食事プラン

The program offers full board accommodation. Meals are served in a large self-service dining hall at set times. Weekend lunches are provided as packed lunches. The menu offers a variety of hot and cold options, including vegetarian choices. The catering team can accommodate most dietary requirements if notified accurately at least two weeks in advance.

アクティビティ&遠足

The program offers a balanced mix of educational, cultural, and recreational activities to encourage socializing and language practice. It includes on-site sports (football, basketball, volleyball), creative workshops, quizzes, discos, karaoke, and film nights. Excursions are a core part of the experience, with visits to London landmarks (St. Paul's, museums, Thames cruise), and full-day trips to cities like Cambridge, Brighton, and Canterbury. Optional premium excursions are also available.

施設

The program utilizes the facilities of London South Bank University. These include modern, well-equipped classrooms, a large dining hall, student union space for evening activities, communal lounges, and free Wi-Fi across campus and accommodation. For sports and excursions, the program leverages the university grounds and London's extensive public transport network to access the city's parks, museums, theaters, and other attractions.

The academic experience at this centre is designed for maximum immersion and progress. Lessons are communicative and student-centred, led by teachers specifically trained in the Embassy Summer methodology. このキャンプの詳細

This Embassy Summer centre is based on the campus of London South Bank University, in Zone 1 of central London. It accepts students aged 13 to 17. Programme and activities. The course listed is a General Language Course. Being in Zone 1 means London itself is the setting rather than an excursion destination — cultural visits are short journeys on the underground rather than day-long coach trips. Accommodation. Students stay in single en-suite rooms within the university's halls of residence on the main campus, each equipped with a desk. Having accommodation and teaching on the same campus removes the daily commute that many London-based programmes involve, and single en-suite rooms are a comfortable standard for a teenager. A university hall is not a school boarding house, so families should ask what supervision applies outside teaching hours. Ages, dates and duration. The centre accepts students aged 13 to 17 — a narrower and more consistent band than most Embassy centres, which run to 18. For families concerned about a 13-year-old sharing a programme with adults, this is the tighter option within the network. One session is currently listed, beginning in late June; families should confirm the full calendar, as a single published date is unlikely to represent the whole summer. Location and travel. London South Bank University is near Elephant and Castle, south of the river and close to Waterloo, with the whole underground network available. All London airports are reachable, though journey times differ substantially. Transfer arrangements are not published. Who the programme may suit. This centre may suit teenagers for whom central London is the draw and who would value their own en-suite room on the same site as their classes. The 13 to 17 band suits families who want a school-age peer group. Younger children should look at the provider's Royal Holloway centre, which takes students from 10 on a closed campus outside the city — a very different environment for a child not ready for central London.
