コースについて

Focus Adventure lessons are practical and outdoor-based, including activities such as bushcraft, orienteering, survival skills, and visits to an outdoor activity centre for kayaking, raft building, ziplining, and rock climbing. Focus Communication lessons develop spoken and written communication skills through debating, presenting, networking, creative writing, and academic essay writing. Learning & Innovation sessions are task-based and collaborative, developing the 4Cs of 21st-century learning: Collaboration, Communication, Creativity, and Critical Thinking. Teachers teach in a communicative, interactive, and friendly way. The maximum class size is 14. The Adventurers course accepts levels from A1 to C1; the Citizens course accepts levels from A2 to C1.

このキャンプの詳細

BSS Worth School Summer Camp takes place at Worth School, a co-educational senior boarding and day school near Crawley in West Sussex, southern England. The school sits on a large estate with modern facilities, and the camp is residential for students aged 11 to 16. Programme and activities. Two strands are listed: Adventurers of the Future and Citizens of the Future. Both are open to the same 11 to 16 age range, so the choice is about content rather than eligibility — Adventurers leaning towards outdoor and activity-based content, Citizens towards leadership and global-citizenship themes. Families should read what each covers before booking, as the strands are not interchangeable. Accommodation and supervision. Students stay in boarding accommodation on campus. Single and shared bedrooms are both available, with some rooms en-suite, and rooms hold between one and six beds. That range is unusually wide, so families for whom room-sharing matters should ask what will actually be allocated rather than assume a single or an en-suite is included. Ages, dates and duration. Both strands accept students aged 11 to 16. Six sessions are listed, beginning in late June — a good spread of start dates compared with camps offering only one or two. Location and travel. Worth School is near Crawley in West Sussex, around twenty minutes from London Gatwick Airport. Of the camps in this catalogue, few are closer to a major international airport, which materially simplifies travel for families flying in and shortens the journey at the end of a long flight. London is roughly an hour away by train. Transfer arrangements are not published and should be confirmed with the provider. Who the programme may suit. This camp may suit international families for whom a short, simple transfer from the airport matters — particularly those sending a younger child of 11 or 12 travelling alone. The estate setting gives a contained environment while keeping Gatwick and London close. Families with a child under 11 should look at the provider's Brambletye camp, which takes children from 6, and those with a 17-year-old should compare its Uppingham camp, which runs to 18.
