English Summer Camp for Teens at Tufts University

The academic programme centres around 20 lessons per week (each lasting 45 minutes), taught by qualified and friendly teachers trained in the Embassy Summer methodology. Classes are focused on communication skills and are held in small, multinational groups of approximately 17 students, ensuring personalised attention. The curriculum includes an initial placement test to assign students to the appropriate level, and all learning materials are provided, culminating in an end-of-course certificate.

The base package includes English language tuition, on-campus accommodation in university residences, full-board meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), a comprehensive schedule of on-site activities and half/full-day excursions (e.g., Harvard, MIT, Freedom Trail), airport transfers on scheduled arrival/departure days, and 24/7 supervision and welfare support. Optional, extra-cost excursions are available (e.g., Six Flags, Newport, RI). A refundable $100 damage deposit is required upon arrival.

Students reside in secure, on-campus university residence halls at Tufts University, offering a true collegiate living experience. Accommodation is primarily in twin or single rooms (limited), each equipped with a desk, chair, wardrobe, bed linen, and towels. Bathrooms may be private or shared among a small group. Facilities include common lounges, laundry rooms (small fee), and 24/7 security with dedicated Embassy Summer night supervisors.

The programme offers full-board accommodation. Nutritious and varied meals are provided daily in the campus cafeteria, including hot breakfasts, lunches, and dinners with side dishes. Special dietary requirements (e.g., allergies, vegetarian) can be catered for if notified in advance. On excursion days, meals are provided, and packed lunches or dinners are arranged when necessary.

The activity programme is integral, designed for fun, cultural immersion, and socialising. It includes daily on-site sports (basketball, soccer, swimming), creative workshops, and social games. Excursions feature half-day trips to local highlights (Harvard, MIT) and full-day cultural trips (Salem, Charles River). Evening activities (movie nights, karaoke, dances) ensure a vibrant social life and opportunities to practice English in informal settings.

Students have access to the excellent facilities of Tufts University, including modern, well-equipped classrooms, a sports hall, an indoor swimming pool, a running track, recreational fields, and spacious communal lounges. Free Wi-Fi is accessible campus-wide. The programme also utilises Boston's rich urban infrastructure, including public transport, museums, and historical sites for excursions.
