English & Football with Tottenham Hotspur: Residential Camp at Royal Holloway

This programme is designed for students who wish to improve their English language skills while developing their football abilities under the guidance of professional coaches. Based at the stunning Royal Holloway, University of London, the course combines world-class English language teaching with professional football coaching from Tottenham Hotspur's Global Football Development coaches. With a focus on communication, teamwork, and skill development, this programme provides a unique opportunity for students to experience life as a professional footballer while improving their English in an immersive environment.

The programme offers 15 hours of English lessons per week, delivered in classes with a maximum size of 20 students to ensure individual attention and active participation. Teaching follows a communicative and interactive methodology that focuses on collaboration through creative projects and review sessions, using English in real-world contexts. Lessons build all core language skills – speaking, listening, reading, and writing – with a strong emphasis on communication, fluency, and confidence. Students are placed into classes according to their English level, which ranges from Elementary to Proficiency, and the programme can be adjusted to accommodate lower levels if needed. Alongside English lessons, students receive 12 hours of professional football coaching each week, led by Tottenham Hotspur's Global Football Development coaches, all of whom are FA or UEFA qualified. Training sessions focus on developing technical ability, tactical understanding, and physical fitness. The programme also includes football seminars and theory sessions. Additional academic qualifications available include the Trinity GESE Exam, Employability for the 21st Century syllabus (available for students aged 14+ with minimum English level B1, minimum 12 students), and Academic Skills for Higher Education syllabus (minimum English level B1, minimum 12 students).
