Young Film Academy’s residential summer camp at Culford School in Suffolk gives young people aged 13–17 a full week of hands-on filmmaking and screen acting. Students spend the week making and starring in films: developing stories, shooting with professional equipment and learning screen acting technique with experienced tutors, working towards screenings of their finished work. The programme splits into age groups of 13–14 and 15–17.
The camp is all-inclusive: the £1,790 weekly fee covers board, meals, tuition, equipment and activities. A two-week option (£3,490) is offered when dates allow.

All meals are included at the school throughout the camp.
Alongside filmmaking, students enjoy evening and social activities including screenings of work produced during the week and a Saturday night talent show.
The camp uses Culford School’s boarding facilities and grounds, with professional filmmaking equipment provided for every production team.
YFA’s residential camp is a chance for young filmmakers and actors to eat, sleep and breathe movies for a week — making real films with like-minded friends and screening them to family at the end of the course.
