À propos
À propos du cours
XUK Multi Activity Summer Camp (XUK Activity) is a non‑academic residential camp built around active participation, personal growth, and fun. The programme is structured to give campers a balanced mix of adventure, sports, creative arts, and social time. Each morning, campers take part in scheduled sessions with their designated activity group, building teamwork and communication skills. In the afternoon, they choose from a diverse timetable of activities, allowing them to follow their own interests and try new things. Evenings are dedicated to whole‑camp bonding events. The camp is carefully split into three age groups (Juniors 8‑12, Seniors 13‑17) with tailored levels of independence, responsibility, and bedtimes. Older teens can join the Leader in Training (LIT) programme to develop leadership, mentoring, and event‑planning skills. While English language immersion is a natural outcome of the international environment, the core focus of the course is on building confidence, resilience, friendship, and life skills through a wide range of engaging, instructor‑led activities and trips. No formal academic lessons are required, though optional EFL classes are available.
Ce qui est inclus
The basic package includes full board accommodation, all scheduled activities, weekly trips (to towns like Salisbury, Bath, Winchester, Chippenham), evening programmes, and 24‑hour care. Optional extras (not included in the basic price) are: Aqua Park, Theme Park (Paultons Park), Laser Quest, Stonehenge, a London trip (for ages 10+, includes West End show), Leader in Training (LIT) programme for 16‑17 year olds, and a Welcome Pack (rucksack, jumper, etc.).
Hébergement
Campers live in warm, inviting dormitories located in five independent boarding houses on campus. Each child can request to share with friends (similar age). Juniors’ mobile phones are kept in the office and accessible during designated calling times; inters and teens are responsible for their own phones and can use them during free time. The camp ensures a fun and friendly dorm atmosphere, especially for children arriving alone.
Restauration
Full board is provided. Breakfast includes continental and traditional cooked options. Lunch and dinner always offer a wholesome main meal, a vegetarian main option, a salad/pasta bar, a dessert, and fresh fruit. BBQs are held twice per week. Special dietary requirements (allergies, intolerances, religious preferences such as Kosher and Halal) can be accommodated with advance notice; pork/bacon is avoided for most meals.
Activités et excursions
The programme includes adventure activities (fire making, bridge building, archery, obstacle course), water sports (swimming, water polo, aqua aerobics), a wide range of sports (football, basketball, tennis, dodgeball, Gaga, etc.), arts (musical theatre, tie‑dye, circus skills, debating, Zumba), whole‑camp events (colour extravaganza, talent show, international day, beach party), evening fun (campfire, murder mysteries, lip sync battle, XUK Olympics), and weekly trips to local cities. Optional extras offer theme parks, laser quest, Stonehenge, and a London trip.
Installations
On‑site facilities include 150 acres of grounds, five boarding houses, a heated indoor swimming pool, a modern sports hall with climbing wall, a forest school area, two all‑weather astro‑turf pitches, spacious common rooms, and a kitchen/dining hall. Off‑site, the camp organises trips to Salisbury, Bath, Winchester, Chippenham, and optional excursions to London, Paultons Park, Stonehenge, etc.
Expérience au camp
XUK is a family‑run business established in 1996, registered with OFSTED (rated ‘outstanding’ on its last inspection). Staff undergo full training, first aid courses, and DBS/barred list checks. A unique feature is the ‘Citizen of the Week’ award – the winning camper receives one free week at camp the following year. Safety is the number one priority, with a comprehensive system including daily registration, room safety checks, 24‑hour site access control, and a dedicated health team.

XUK Activity Camp is a residential summer camp for children aged 8‑17, held at Dauntsey’s School in Wiltshire – a 150‑acre countryside venue with excellent facilities. The main goal is to give campers a fun, active, and safe summer where they can build confidence, make friends from around the world, and try a huge variety of adventure, sports, creative, and team activities. The unique approach combines age‑appropriate grouping (Juniors 8‑12, Seniors 13‑17), daily choice of activities, weekly off‑site trips, and optional extras such as theme parks, a London trip, and a Leader in Training programme for older teens – all within a supportive, international environment.
There are no traditional academic lessons, but the camp is structured around daily activity sessions. Each morning, campers take part in scheduled sessions with their designated activity group, focusing on building skills and friendships. In the afternoon, they choose from a diverse timetable of activities – including adventure, water sports, sports, arts, and whole‑camp events. Evenings are dedicated to fun group bonding activities such as campfire, murder mysteries, lip sync battles, and XUK Olympics. Campers are placed in mixed‑nationality groups to encourage English use. For campers who wish to improve their English, qualified teachers are on site to provide optional EFL lessons. These lessons focus on grammar, vocabulary, speaking, and listening, and are delivered in small, mixed‑nationality classes with limits on the number of students sharing the same native language. However, the core programme remains activity‑based, with language development happening naturally through play, trips, and social interaction.
The camp focuses on building confidence, friendship, resilience, and life skills through a wide range of adventurous, creative, and sporting activities in an international, English‑immersive environment.
