The summer camp runs in July and the winter camp in February, each as a single twelve-day stay with a Monday arrival. The summer stay is split between the Mountain Campus in Disentis and the City Campus near Winterthur and Zurich; the winter stay is entirely in Disentis. Dates for an upcoming season are published by the provider, so confirm them directly before booking travel.
The summer camp takes teenagers aged thirteen to fifteen and the winter camp fourteen to sixteen. Groups are small and places are limited per nationality, which keeps the mix international.
Fees are all-inclusive: language tuition, the afternoon and evening activity programme, round-the-clock pastoral care, learning material, room and board on campus and a language skills certificate. The winter camp also includes group transfers from and back to Zurich Airport; for the summer camp the transfer between the two campuses is included and an airport transfer on arrival can be pre-booked for an extra fee.
Yes. Language classes are offered in German or English, and students choose their language of study. Classes are taught in small groups on weekday mornings, and every participant receives a certificate at the end of the camp.
In summer the mountain week brings hiking, mountain biking and climbing in the Grisons Alps, and the city week adds football, padel tennis, indoor sports, visits to old towns, the Rhine Falls, the Technorama science museum and the ETH campus. In winter the afternoons are skiing, snowboarding, sledding and cross-country skiing, with indoor sport and cultural activities alongside. Evenings are film nights, board and card games and other quieter options.
