Summer Courses at d'Overbroeck's Oxford: Residential English Camp

This career-focused programme is designed for students who wish to gain an introduction to the study of the mind and behaviour while strengthening their English language skills. Based in Oxford, the course blends academic theory with applied workshops, case studies, and research projects, giving students a taste of what it's like to study and work in psychology. Ideal for those interested in psychology, neuroscience, education, counselling, or preparing for future studies in the social sciences, the programme explores topics from memory and perception to social influence and mental health.

The programme offers 25 hours of tuition per week, delivered in small classes with a maximum of 12 students to ensure individual attention and active participation. Teaching follows a hands-on and dynamic methodology that combines subject-specific learning with practical workshops and real-world research projects. Students learn through a combination of interactive lectures, group discussions, practical activities, and collaborative projects, with a focus on developing both subject knowledge and English language fluency in meaningful, context-rich learning experiences.
