Rossall School International Summer School

The camp offers a classic British boarding-school summer on the North West coast of England. Rossall School, founded in 1844, runs its own international summer school on a 160-acre campus beside the sea in Fleetwood, Lancashire, for students aged 11 to 17. Unlike programmes run by external operators on hired campuses, this course is delivered by the school itself, with students living in Rossall’s own boarding houses and eating in the school Dining Hall. Two courses are available. English with Specialised Skills (£1,710 per week in 2026) combines 20 hours of English (EAL) tuition per week with focused skills options — two are offered each week, changing across the season. English with Activities (£1,550 per week) pairs the same 20 hours of English with the full multi-activity programme. Classes are capped at 12 students, so every learner gets regular speaking time and individual attention. Afternoons and evenings bring badminton, hockey, swimming, football, dance, cookery, fencing, archery, arts and crafts, taekwondo, escape rooms and more. Each week includes a full-day excursion, with destinations such as Manchester, York, Liverpool, Chester, the Lake District and the Harry Potter Studio Tour; travel and meals on excursion days are covered by the fee. Students stay in the school’s boarding houses in single and twin rooms with shared bathrooms, and three meals a day are served in the Dining Hall, with barbecues adding variety in good weather. Stays start from two weeks, with Saturday arrivals and departures. In August 2026, start dates on 1, 8 and 15 August allow stays of two to four weeks before the season closes at the end of the month.
