À propos

À propos du cours

The academic programme is intensive but balanced, with approximately 40 hours of focused teaching over two weeks delivered through seminars, workshops, projects, and guest lectures. Classes are taught by subject experts in small groups, using interactive, discussion‑based and project‑based methods to develop higher‑order skills such as critical thinking, communication, and applied problem‑solving rather than passive note‑taking.

Ce qui est inclus

The comprehensive programme fee includes all core components for an immersive academic and residential experience. This encompasses all academic tuition, over 40 hours of teaching, and study materials; full accommodation in an Oxford University college; a meal plan (breakfast and dinner daily, plus lunch for students aged 12-15); and a complete schedule of daily on-campus activities, including tours, cultural visits, skills-building seminars, expert guest lectures, and sports sessions. Also included are welcome and graduation events, a graduation certificate and detailed personal report, Wi-Fi access, and Oxford Royale merchandise. Key session start dates are in July and August. Optional extras available for an additional fee include a supervised airport transfer service, specific excursions (such as a full-day London trip), room upgrades, and premium academic or family experience packages. A non-refundable registration fee is required upon booking to secure a place.

Hébergement

Students experience authentic university living in secure, historic Oxford University colleges. Accommodation is typically in single or twin bedrooms, with bathroom facilities shared among a small group of same-sex students. Some campuses offer en-suite rooms for an additional upgrade fee. Rooms are located on separate corridors for boys and girls. The colleges provide a comfortable, collegiate atmosphere with common rooms for socialising. Safety is paramount: campuses have 24/7 security and staff presence, with secure entry points and sign-in/out procedures for leaving campus. Dedicated pastoral staff live on-site to ensure student welfare and security at all times.

Restauration

The standard meal plan provides full board for students aged 12-15 (breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily) and half board for students aged 16-18 (breakfast and dinner daily, with lunch independently in the city). All meals are taken in the magnificent college dining halls, offering a true taste of student life. We can accommodate most dietary requirements, including vegetarian options, provided they are notified in advance via the medical and dietary form. For specific needs contacting us in advance is recommended.

Activités et excursions

Our activity programme is designed to balance academic enrichment with fun, cultural immersion, and community building. It includes a wide variety of daily options: inclusive sports (football, badminton, lawn games, park 'Olympics'), creative workshops, punting on the Cherwell, debate society evenings, museum and gallery visits, and city explorations. Evenings are packed with social events like karaoke, talent shows, fashion workshops, and welcome activities. The grand finale is a formal graduation ceremony and dinner in a historic Oxford hall, followed by a celebration party. The aim is to entertain, foster cultural exchange, develop soft skills, and help students form lifelong international friendships in a vibrant and supportive environment.

Installations

On campus, students have access to historic teaching rooms, lecture theatres, libraries, common rooms, and iconic quads and courtyards. Sports facilities vary by college but typically include playing fields and spaces for various activities. Reliable Wi-Fi is available throughout. The campus is secure with controlled access and 24/7 pastoral support. While our Oxford campuses do not have private swimming pools or large modern sports complexes, we leverage the entire city as our extended campus. Students explore Oxford’s iconic landmarks, colleges, libraries, markets, and scenic riverside paths, integrating the city's unparalleled academic and historical resources directly into the learning and social experience.

Expérience au camp

Oxford Royale sets the benchmark for quality, with over 20 years of experience and 50,000 alumni. Our teachers are the cornerstone—subject experts from top universities who are passionate mentors, delivering a curriculum refined for decades. The atmosphere is uniquely inspiring, combining intellectual rigour with a supportive global community. The structured programme guarantees over 40 hours of teaching, expert lectures, skills seminars, and a formal graduation ceremony. Students consistently report transformative growth in confidence, academic focus, and future clarity. Our unique methodologies, like the hands-on projects and masterclasses, and the immersion in the authentic traditions and historic setting of Oxford colleges, provide an unparalleled edge. This is not just a summer school; it's a life-changing preview of university-level excellence and a defining step towards a student's future.

En savoir plus sur ce camp

This summer school is run by Oxford Royale in the University of Oxford, placing teenagers aged 12 to 18 in historic colleges. The premise is to spend the summer inside the university rather than in a conventional camp. Programme and activities. The programme is academic and experience-led — students study a chosen subject and live within Oxford's colleges, a pre-university-style experience rather than a general English or activity camp. Families should read what subjects and content are offered. Accommodation. Students experience authentic university living in secure, historic Oxford University college accommodation. Living in the colleges is central to the experience. Families should confirm room arrangements and what supervision applies, and — given the wide age range — how the youngest are looked after. Ages, dates and duration. The programme accepts students aged 12 to 18. The upper limit reaches past school-leaving age, so families should ask how age groups are separated. An exceptionally large number of arrival dates is listed from early July — one of the widest calendars in this catalogue. Location and travel. Oxford is around an hour from London and Heathrow by coach. Transfer arrangements are not published. Who the programme may suit. This camp may suit teenagers drawn to studying and living within the University of Oxford — a pre-university taste rather than a language course. The very wide calendar adds flexibility. The same operator runs equivalent programmes at Cambridge, Yale and other prestigious venues, so families can compare. Given the intake runs to 18, families of a younger teenager should confirm grouping and supervision.
