Etherton Education Summer Course – Wellington School

The camp is run by Etherton Education, a provider that specialises in preparing international students for entry into British boarding schools, and is held in 2026 at Wellington School in the town of Wellington, Somerset, surrounded by green countryside about three hours from London Heathrow. Two parallel courses are offered. The Pre-GCSE course is designed for students aged 12–15 who are coming to join a UK boarding school in Year 9 or Year 10; lessons include academic subjects such as science taught in English. The Pre-A-Level / Pre-IB course is designed for students aged 15–17 preparing to start A-Levels or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Both courses run for two weeks from 2 to 16 August 2026 at £3,715, or four weeks from 2 to 30 August 2026 at £7,200. Students live on campus with full board, and the academic programme is balanced with sport and activities on the school’s extensive grounds plus full-day excursions, with packed lunches provided on trip days. Wellington School offers well-equipped teaching facilities, a sports hall, a swimming pool and extensive sports grounds. Supervision is matched to age: students aged 14 and under are always supervised on trips, while students aged 15–17 may have limited unsupervised time on trips and in local shops. The course suits families whose children already hold a place at a UK boarding school – or are working towards one – and want a structured summer that builds academic English, subject confidence and familiarity with boarding life before the school year begins.
