OISC Summer Programmes: English Courses in the Historic Heart of Oxford

Two summer courses, both with any-Monday starts from mid-June to mid-September: English Language & Culture (20 lessons / 15 hours per week, £450/week) and English Language, Culture & Academic Enrichment (30 lessons per week: 20 English + 10 academic lessons preparing A-Level, IB or GCSE subjects in groups of 3–4 or one-to-one, £900/week). International classes are arranged by age and English level; juniors under 14 are welcome.

Tuition £450 or £900 per week including daily activities and a weekly full-day excursion. Payable extras (2025-26 fee sheet — confirm current): registration £100, accommodation & visa service fee £80, accommodation from £280/week, Heathrow transfer £140 each way (mandatory for unaccompanied students 16 and under), escorted daily transfers £150/week (mandatory for unaccompanied under-12s), refundable coursebook deposit £30.

Accommodation is booked separately through the school (2025-26 fee sheet, half-board unless stated): host family £300/week (ages 12–15) or £280/week (16+), private bathroom supplement £100/week where available; student residence 2 minutes from the school in single en-suite rooms — £600/week half-board or £460/week self-catering (residence accepts unaccompanied students 14+); college rooms for 16+ and university accommodation available in summer on quotation.

Half-board (breakfast and dinner) with host families and in the half-board residence option; self-catering available in the student residence. Lunch is taken independently in central Oxford. Dietary requirements should be discussed with the school when booking.

The summer course fee includes 2 hours of social activities every day plus one full-day weekend excursion each week, alongside the cultural side of the programme built around Oxford itself.

The school occupies a historic building at 6-7 St Aldates in the very centre of Oxford, opposite Christ Church, with an additional academic centre on King Edward Street. The student residence is a 2-minute walk from the school.

OISC is a year-round independent study centre whose listed accreditations and memberships include AEGIS, COBIS, the Independent Schools Council, the Tutors Association, PFE and ECIS. Summer students join an international mix with flexible durations from one week to eight weeks or longer.
