Cricket with The R66T Academy: Residential Cricket Camp at Royal Holloway

This programme is designed for students who wish to develop their cricket skills while experiencing British university life and culture at one of the UK's most prestigious institutions. Based at the stunning Royal Holloway, University of London, the course combines professional cricket coaching from ECB qualified coaches representing former England captain Joe Root's cricket academy with a full schedule of activities and excursions. With a focus on skill development, fitness, and personal growth, this programme provides a unique opportunity for aspiring cricketers to train like professionals.

The programme offers professional cricket coaching delivered by ECB qualified coaches from The R66T Academy, founded in 2018 by former England captain Joe Root. Students receive training from Level 2 coaches, with masterclass sessions in batting, bowling, and wicketkeeping delivered by Level 3 ECB qualified coaches. The programme focuses on developing not only technical cricket skills but also all-round fitness and wellbeing through practical workshops. Alongside cricket training, students take part in workshops designed to support communication, confidence, and teamwork. Sessions include sports nutrition and hydration, injury prevention and recovery, mental wellbeing and rest routines, the theory of cricket, understanding coaching instructions and tactics, match reports and commentary skills, reviewing player performances and feedback, and teamwork and leadership. Each student also completes a "My cricket development journey" project presentation. The programme culminates in a mini cricket festival with medals and trophies.
