A nine-day touring camp on the Tanzanian island of Zanzibar, run for teenagers. The stay is built around three bases on the island. Stone Town comes first, with its spice markets, narrow lanes and the evening food market at Forodhani. The group then moves to Paje, a village on the Indian Ocean away from the large resorts, and finishes at Nungwi, sailing out on a traditional dhow to the Mnemba reef to snorkel and grilling freshly caught fish on an empty white-sand beach. Giant protected tortoises and the island's endemic monkeys are part of what you see along the way. Accommodation is in simple hotels and guest houses, in rooms of two to four with private showers.

About
About the Course
One fixed itinerary for a single group, led in French by a qualified director and camp leaders. There are no optional modules and no lessons. The island is covered in three stages — Stone Town, Paje and Nungwi — and every participant follows the same route. The operator announces a minimum of twelve and a maximum of twenty-four participants, with one adult for every eight young people.
What’s Included
The school offers a special discount — ask us for details. The price covers return travel from Paris, full board, the full supervision team, repatriation and personal accident insurance, accommodation, local transport, the activities listed by the operator, and the educational and administrative follow-up before and after the stay. Personal spending is not included. Departures from French cities other than Paris are offered as paid options.
Accommodation
Simple hotels, including the guest houses common on the island. Rooms sleep two to four, with bathrooms inside the rooms and private showers. A shared kitchen is available. The group changes base three times during the stay, following the route from Stone Town to the east coast and then the north of the island.
Meal Plan
Full board. Meals are taken in small local restaurants so that the group eats Zanzibari food rather than hotel catering, and one meal on the programme is fish grilled on the beach after a boat trip.
Activities & Excursions
Walking Stone Town: the spice and produce markets, the narrow lanes of the old town and the evening food market at Forodhani. Time on the ocean at Paje, a village the operator picked for being away from the large resorts. A trip by traditional dhow out to the Mnemba reef for snorkelling, followed by grilled fish on an empty white-sand beach. Along the way, the giant protected tortoises and the monkey species found only on the island.
Facilities
Accommodation is in simple hotels and guest houses with rooms of two to four, bathrooms inside the rooms, private showers and a shared kitchen. There is no fixed campus: the group is based in three different places across the island during the stay.
Camp Experience
Zanzibar is treated as three different places rather than one beach. A dense, layered old town with African, Arab and English influences; a village on the Indian Ocean where daily life is still the main event; and a northern coast reached by dhow. The operator sums the island up as a place where taking it slowly is an art, and the programme is paced accordingly.

A single fixed itinerary run for one small group, with three bases on the island. Stone Town for the markets, the lanes and the Forodhani evening food market; Paje for the ocean and village life away from the resorts; Nungwi for a dhow trip out to the Mnemba reef, snorkelling and a fish barbecue on an empty beach. There is no choice of modules: every participant follows the same route, led in French by a qualified director and camp leaders.
There are no lessons. This is a French-led guided discovery of Zanzibar across three stages — Stone Town, Paje and Nungwi — with a single fixed itinerary for all participants. Learning is entirely experiential: walking tours, local markets, a dhow trip to Mnemba reef, and meals in small local restaurants. The group is small, with one adult for every eight young people.
A guided discovery of Zanzibar where the island’s culture, nature and daily life are experienced entirely on the ground.
