An eight-day camp in the Dominican Republic for teenagers, split between the coast at Punta Cana and the mountains at Jarabacoa. On the coast the group swims and snorkels around Saona Island inside the Cotubanamá national park, visits fishing villages and meets a local association working to protect the reserve. Inland, in the central cordillera, the programme turns to outdoor activity, with rafting on the Yaque del Norte as its centrepiece, along with a national park and the wildlife that lives in it. Evenings follow the usual camp pattern of games and get-togethers. The group is small and French-speaking, and travels with a qualified director and camp leaders.

About
About the Course
A supervised travel programme rather than a taught course. A minimum of twelve and a maximum of sixteen participants. The group travels with a qualified director and camp leaders, at a ratio of one adult for every eight young people, and the working language is French. The itinerary is fixed and the same for everyone on the departure.
What’s Included
The school offers a special discount — ask us for details. The price covers the return flight from Paris with a stopover, full board, accommodation for the whole stay, all travel on the ground, the activities named in the programme, full supervision by the operator's team, repatriation and personal accident cover, and the operator's educational and administrative follow-up before and after the stay. It does not cover personal spending, visa fees unless the operator states otherwise, vaccinations and other formalities, activities not named in the programme, optional extras, the cancellation insurance or the operator's fixed-price guarantee. Connections from other French cities to the Paris departure point are priced separately.
Accommodation
Simple hotels, with rooms of two beds and more. Double beds may have to be shared and that bathrooms are private in some places and shared in others.
Meal Plan
Full board is included. Meals are taken in small local restaurants, and part of the catering is co-managed by the group itself, which means participants take a hand in preparing and organising their own meals.
Activities & Excursions
On the coast the group goes out to Saona Island inside the Cotubanamá national park, one of the most visited reserves in the country, for snorkelling, swimming in natural pools and time among the lagoons and mangroves; there is also a meeting with a local association working to protect the reserve, and visits to fishing villages. Inland at Jarabacoa, in the central cordillera, the main activity is rafting on the Yaque del Norte, the longest river in the Caribbean, alongside a national park visit and wildlife watching. Evenings run on the usual camp pattern of get-togethers, swimming and games.
Facilities
This is a touring camp with no single campus. What is available is what each stop provides: a simple hotel on the coast and another inland. Travel on the ground is by public transport, bus and minibus.
Camp Experience
The first half delivers the Caribbean of white sand and turquoise water; the second half, in the mountains, is deliberately far from the resorts, and the stay is an initiatory journey towards a rawer and more engaged picture of the country.

Punta Cana and Jarabacoa Touring Programme - Coast, Saona Island and the Central Cordillera
25 Lessons · 14–17 yrs · A1–C2Price from
A single fixed itinerary run for one small group. The stay is split between the Caribbean coast at Punta Cana and the mountains of Jarabacoa in the central cordillera. There is no choice of modules: every participant follows the same route, led in French by a qualified director and camp leaders.
This is a travel and discovery programme, not a language course, and the operator publishes no timetabled lessons. What learning there is comes from guided visits, the meeting with the local conservation association on Saona Island, and the outdoor activities in the cordillera.
Two contrasting halves of one country. The coastal half is about the sea: lagoons, mangroves and marine life inside the Cotubanamá national park, snorkelling, natural pools and the fishing villages. The inland half is about the mountains and the rivers, with rafting on the Yaque del Norte, the longest river in the Caribbean, as its main activity. The operator frames the stay as a deliberate move away from the resort picture of the country towards something rougher and more real.
