More about this camp
Summer at King’s Academy brings together three summer tracks on one campus in Madaba, Jordan, a short drive from Amman and Queen Alia International Airport. The Sports and Recreation Camp is a day programme for children aged 6–12: each camper picks two major sports — football, tennis, swimming, basketball, art or fencing — which meet daily, and joins rotating minor activities, with lunch included. Teenagers aged 12–17 can take an academic programme, choosing one major from Arabic for non-native speakers, English Foundations (ESL) or Math Foundations, taught in small classes each morning with afternoon activities, a weekly excursion and weekly observatory astronomy sessions. The same age group can instead join the i2 STEM Camp, the US-developed programme that King’s hosts as the only school in the Middle East, with weekly modules in rocketry, engineering, genetics, life sciences and crime-scene investigation. Academic and STEM tracks are offered as day or boarding options; boarders live on campus with meals, evening activities and a supervised weekend programme. The season runs across late June and July, with classes Sunday to Thursday in line with the Jordanian school week. Information should be confirmed directly with the camp provider; dates, prices and availability may change.
