More about this camp

The Stafford House Johor Bahru Summer Camp runs at Forest City International School in Johor, Malaysia — the only Southeast Asian location in this catalogue. It is less than an hour from Singapore, and accepts students aged 12 to 18. Programme and activities. The camp combines English lessons with activities and excursions, using the international school's facilities. For families based in Asia, it offers an English immersion programme without the long-haul flight to Europe or North America. Accommodation. Students stay in residential twin en-suite rooms with two bathrooms each. Twin en-suite accommodation is a comfortable standard. Families should confirm supervision arrangements. Ages, dates and duration. The camp accepts students aged 12 to 18. The upper limit reaches past school-leaving age, so families should ask how age groups are separated. Four arrival dates are listed from early July. Location and travel. Johor is in southern Malaysia, less than an hour from Singapore. Singapore Changi and Senai (Johor) airports both serve the area. Families travelling internationally should check entry requirements for Malaysia in advance, as these are not covered here. Who the programme may suit. This camp may suit families based in Southeast Asia who want an English immersion programme close to home rather than a long-haul trip, and those specifically drawn to a Malaysian or regional setting near Singapore. Given the intake runs to 18, families of a younger teenager should confirm grouping and supervision. Stafford House runs many other centres in the UK and USA for families preferring those regions.
