About

About the Course

Teaching is built from three modules a day, and the participant chooses one subject for each of them. The menu covers Danish as a second language, English as a second language, Chinese for beginners, Business & Marketing, Politics & Society, Science, Psychology, Event planning, Greenfingers, Coral restoration, Ceramics, Craft & Creativity, Art & Design, Music, Physical Education, Fitness, Yoga, Golf, Sailing, Outdoor, Water Sports and World Cooking. Attendance at the chosen modules is compulsory, and students on the language subjects are placed in skill-level groups.

What’s Included

Every programme includes accommodation on campus, bed linen, duvet, pillow and towels with a change after a fortnight on longer stays, three main meals a day with fresh fruit available, a summer camp hoodie and water bottle, a free laundry service, and transport to and from Aalborg Airport or Aalborg Bus Terminal on the arrival and departure days. A shuttle service runs from the airport and the railway station on arrival day and is planned around the participants' arrival times. Stays run from one to five weeks and the school sells two start dates in July; the longest option adds a study trip to Copenhagen at the end of the stay and is not sold on its own. The school publishes a lower price for participants who hold a Danish CPR number; the prices on this page are the ones it publishes for participants without one.

Accommodation

Participants live on the campus of the boarding school, which is made up of five houses - Seminariehuset, Kaerhuset, Ranumhus, Lien and Praestegaarden - with rooms for up to six students. Whichever house a student lives in, they take part in the same daily life of the school; the classrooms sit between Seminariehuset and Ranumhus.

Meal Plan

Three main meals a day are served, and fresh fruit is available between them.

Activities & Excursions

Every week the camp heads out on an adventure somewhere in Denmark and rounds the week off with a themed evening. The outdoor subjects use the landscape as a classroom - mountain biking, kayaking and cooking over an open fire - and the water subjects take participants to SUP on the lake, surfing at Klitmoeller, windsurfing on the Limfjord, wakeboarding and longboarding. Water Sports asks the participant to pass a swimming test first.

Facilities

Besides the five houses and the classrooms, the campus has the Multikulturhuset with three halls for sport and activities. Four kilometres away at Ronbjerg the school keeps further facilities used for activities on and around the water.

Camp Experience

The camp gathers young people from dozens of countries into one community, which is what makes the cross-cultural friendships, the shared experiences and the sense of togetherness a part of every day rather than a side effect.
