A family-run alpine camp in the Gstaad ski region — summers since 1973, winters on skis since 2012. Lovell International Camps hosts children aged 5–17 at the Mountain Lodge in Schönried: summer sessions of swimming, hiking, alpine adventures and daily language classes (English, French or German), and one-week winter ski & snowboard sessions with up to 25 hours of instruction per week (2026/27 season starts 13 December — rates coming soon).

Age-specific programmes: Marmots & Foxes (5–10), Junior and Senior groups, and Leadership Training for 16–17s. Daily optional language classes in English, French or German by professional teachers. Summer: two 3-week sessions (recommended; required for awards) or flexible one-week sessions. Winter: one-week ski/snowboard sessions with up to 25 hours of instruction weekly, instructor ratio max 1:7 (2026/27 from 13 December, rates coming soon).

Accommodation
The Mountain Lodge in Schönried: 18 rooms sleeping 2–6 plus two 10-bed group rooms, all en-suite; a counsellor lives in each campers’ room, and at least 3 staff cover evenings and nights. Up to 30 boarders. Day campers (10–15 per day) attend 08:40–17:45.
Meal Plan
Full room and board for boarders; lunches included for day campers. Camp sessions end with a barbecue (summer) or traditional Swiss fondue (winter).
Activities & Excursions
Summer: swimming, alpine hikes, sports, arts & crafts, tent-camping overnight, a two-day Swiss Alpine Club hut hike, Aqua Parc trips, camp fires and discos, Sunday all-day excursions (Diablerets Glacier, Gruyères castle, Olympic Museum). Facilities
The Lodge sits 600 m from Schönried station and the cable car, in the Gstaad ski region: 53 lifts, 220 km of slopes, two snow parks and the Bernese Oberland’s only glacier ski area. Lounges, movie room, terrace, play area, free internet.

The classic Lovell three-week session: multi-activity alpine programme (swimming, hiking, sports, arts), daily language classes (English, French or German), overnight tent camping and a Swiss Alpine Club hut hike, weekend excursions. Lovell International Camps
The Lovell family ran the prestigious John F. Kennedy International School and Summer Camp in Saanen-Gstaad for over 40 years before founding Lovell International Camps AG in 2011. From the Mountain Lodge in Schönried — 600 m from the station in the Gstaad ski region — Lovell runs an international Summer Camp (since 1973), a Winter Ski & Snowboard Camp (one-week sessions mid-December to March, individuals, school ski trips and family packages), a Winter Academy combining academics with professional ski lessons (11 Jan – 19 Mar 2027), a Kids Club at Le Grand Bellevue Gstaad, and private ski instruction (CHF 90/hour via CheckYetti). Winter Camp 2026/27 begins 13 December 2026 — rates coming soon.
Summer camp welcomes ages 5–15, with Leadership Training for 16–17s; winter boarding covers ages 5–15. A Kids Club at Le Grand Bellevue Gstaad takes ages 2–5.

Lovell Camps are run by Lovell International Camps in the Gstaad ski region of the Swiss Alps, based at the Mountain Lodge in Schönried. The camps have run in summer since 1973 and added winter ski camps in 2012, and accept children aged 5 to 17.
Programme and activities. As a family-run operation with more than fifty years of summers, the camp offers an alpine outdoor and activity programme, with the winter season built around skiing. The long continuity and family management are part of the appeal for parents wanting a settled, established camp rather than a large commercial operation.
Accommodation. Campers stay at the Mountain Lodge in Schönried, which has 18 rooms sleeping two to six plus two 10-bed group rooms, all en-suite. En-suite throughout, including the larger group rooms, is a comfortable standard. Families should confirm which room type their child will be in, as a 10-bed group room is very different from a two-bed one.
Ages, dates and duration. The camp accepts a wide 5 to 17 range — reaching younger than almost any camp in this catalogue, so it genuinely works for a very young child. Eighteen arrival dates are listed from early July, a very flexible summer calendar, and winter dates are also available. Parents of the youngest children should ask specifically how the youngest are grouped and supervised.
Location and travel. Schönried is near Gstaad in the Bernese Oberland, in the Swiss Alps. Geneva and Zurich are both usable arrival airports, with onward travel. Transfer arrangements are not published.
