We'll let you know when this camp adds new dates.

This English winter camp is a residential programme created specifically for teenagers aged 14 to 17 in Pragelato. The camp is set in the Pragelato-Sestriere mountain area, where snowy landscapes, trails and outdoor exploration create a distinctive group experience. It is designed for young people who want to spend time with peers in a more independent setting while combining English, nature and sport. Friendship, community and the shared experience of mountain life are presented as key parts of the camp. The camp uses English immersion alongside excursions, snowshoeing, trekking and group activities. Rather than separating language from the rest of camp life, the programme connects English with practical experiences in nature and social time with other teenagers. Participants stay in wooden chalets at Kinka Village with full-board hospitality, creating a residential setting for group interaction. The school’s team includes educators with experience in English teaching, physical education and children’s and teenagers’ activities. The programme aims to make language learning active, social and connected with memorable outdoor experiences.

More about this camp

Pragelato lies in the Via Lattea ski area west of Turin, close to Sestriere, and this residential winter camp is built specifically for teenagers aged fourteen to seventeen. Participants stay at Kinka Village for the duration of the programme, on full board. The age band matters here. Teenagers get a longer leash than younger campers: more independence inside the group, more say in how free time is spent, and activities pitched at people who can handle a full day outdoors. The camp is aimed at young people who want to be among peers rather than in a mixed-age group with small children. English runs through the programme rather than sitting beside it. Sessions with English and sports teachers connect to what the group is actually doing that day, and evening activities, games and social time keep the language in use once lessons end. With participants arriving from different countries, English is what the group has in common. Outdoors, the surrounding mountains provide the material: snowshoeing, trekking, walks along the valley trails and excursions into the wider Pragelato-Sestriere area. The setting is a working ski region, so the winter infrastructure is substantial, and the landscape is the main draw for teenagers who would rather be moving than sitting. Supervision is continuous. Staff live alongside the group, and the residential rhythm of shared meals, shared rooms and a common daily schedule is a large part of what the experience offers: for many participants it is the first extended period away from home in another country. The camp is operated by an Italian provider that runs residential language holidays for young people across several mountain locations, with programmes separated by age so that teenagers are not folded into a children's schedule. Availability, dates and prices may change quickly. Please always confirm details directly with the camp provider before making travel arrangements.
