ELI Schools
ELI Schools is an EAQUALS-accredited English language school with centres in Dublin and Drogheda, teaching around six thousand students a year from more than seventy countries. Its junior residential programme is a summer camp for ages 10 to 17 based in Drogheda, a historic town about forty-five minutes from Dublin city centre and thirty from Dublin Airport; students join for between one and six weeks depending on their arrival date. The camp combines fifteen hours a week of general English — taught through project work on Irish culture, history and music, with students placed by level from the first day — with four half-day activity sessions and three evening events each week, a full day in Dublin every week, a full-day weekend excursion, host family accommodation on a shared-room full-board basis, return Dublin Airport transfers and an ELI certificate of attendance. Every class, activity, excursion and evening event has an ELI staff member present; teachers, activity staff and host families hold An Garda Siochana vetting and certified child protection training, and host families are inspected before approval and reinspected annually. The school also runs a young adult programme in Dublin for ages 16 to 19, short-term and work-and-study programmes for adults, closed school-group programmes, Erasmus+ mobility and English courses for teachers.
