CERAN Academy offers a unique and intensive language immersion experience in a magical, historic setting: the Collège de Saint-Roch in Ferrières, Belgium. This 1820s building, reminiscent of a Harry Potter film set, provides an inspiring backdrop for summer learning, combining old-world charm with modern educational technology, all located just 1.5 hours from Brussels. This all-inclusive residential program is designed for juniors aged 9 to 17 who want to achieve rapid progress in French, English, German, or Dutch. The program combines 21 hours of weekly classroom instruction with full cultural and activity immersion, where students practice the target language from morning to night. The main goal is to build confidence, activate language skills, and overcome academic difficulties through a proven, communicative methodology in a safe and supervised international environment.

About the Course
The course is based on an intensive full-immersion methodology. Within the Intensive Group Immersion program, students practice the target language throughout the entire day, including during organized leisure time. This helps activate passive knowledge and quickly overcome the language barrier. Options for additional private lessons (+2 or +4 per week) are available for personalized work. The main focus is on developing fluency and communication skills in real-life situations.
What’s Included
The base program cost is all-inclusive and covers: intensive group course, accommodation, full-board meals, 19 sessions of recreational activities per week, and excursions. Optional for an additional fee are: specialized sports programs within Intensive Pro (golf, tennis, padel), additional private lessons, Serenity Insurance, and transfers from train stations/airports. A non-refundable booking fee is charged upon registration.
Accommodation
Accommodation is organized on campus (residence) in the historic college building. Participants are primarily provided with single rooms with shared showers and toilets on the floor. The campus provides a safe and supervised environment, ideal for teenagers, with modern amenities integrated into the atmospheric historic building.
Meal Plan
Meals are organized on a full-board basis and are included in the program cost.
Activities & Excursions
The leisure program is extremely rich and diverse, aimed at entertainment, cultural enrichment, and language practice. 19 activity sessions are held weekly, including sports (badminton, basketball, soccer, climbing, archery), creative workshops (drama, drawing), and evening events (talent shows, quests). On Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, full-day excursions to European cities are organized: Brussels, Bruges, Luxembourg, Maastricht, Trier, and others, with visits to museums, landmarks, and theme parks.
Facilities
The campus has its own sports infrastructure, green areas, and spaces for creative work. For specialized Intensive Pro programs, premium external venues are used: the indoor courts of Tennis Club Neupré for tennis and padel, and Durbuy golf club for golf. The program actively utilizes the region's urban and natural infrastructure for excursions and outdoor activities. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus.

This intensive immersion programme is tailored for motivated juniors aged 9-17 who desire a significant boost in their French proficiency. It merges the dynamic environment of group learning with a substantial personal training component of four individual lessons weekly, ideal for focused work on specific objectives or accelerated progress.
The core of the programme consists of 28 group lessons per week, structured into morning sessions on oral skills, reading, and comprehension, and afternoon sessions dedicated to writing and applied language projects. Teaching follows the communicative CERAN methodology in small, leveled groups, using real-life situations and projects to build fluency. This format is enhanced with 4 additional private lessons each week. These one-on-one sessions provide concentrated, customised instruction where students can intensively address personal challenges, delve deeper into particular topics, or prepare for academic or international language certifications under the dedicated guidance of a native teacher.
The course is designed to rapidly advance overall French competency through a powerful dual approach: immersive group interaction for practical communication skills and intensive personalised training for targeted skill refinement.
