Un Hiver a Oslo: a winter week in the Norwegian capital

A city game opens the week and takes the group across the capital: the Opera House, the Royal Palace, the Akershus fortress and its view over the city and the fjord. One museum is chosen by the group itself, between the Natural History Museum, the science museum with its interactive experiments and the Paradox museum of illusions.

The stay covers accommodation, meals, the visits and outings named in the programme, and accompanied return travel from a French departure city. The base price of this card is the departure from Paris; the other cities are listed under the extras at the difference the operator publishes. The operator runs the stay from a minimum of twenty-four bookings.

The operator states only that the group stays in a youth hostel or a hotel, close to the city centre with public transport nearby, and does not publish the name or the address. This card records the hostel option, which the operator names first; the choice between the two is the operator to make, not ours.

Meals are prepared by the camp team with help from the participants, and some meals are taken in local restaurants.

The Korketrekkeren run gives two kilometres of sledging down through the snow above the city. Skates come out at the Spikersuppa rink in the middle of Oslo, as the locals use it. There is a Nordic sauna with a view over the water, with the snow falling outside, and a cruise on the Oslofjord between the islands, past forests and small painted houses.

The programme itself takes place across Oslo and on the fjord.

A winter week in a northern capital for older teenagers, about twenty-four of them with one adult for every eight, alternating the city with the snow above it and the water around it. The team includes a qualified camp director and a leader holding the French first-aid certificate.
