Whitgift International Summer School

Three courses are offered in 2026. Intensive General English (ages 11–17, minimum A2 level) develops all language skills to the same standards of excellence as the school’s year-round teaching. Skills in Academic English (ages 14–17, minimum C1) builds the competencies essential for success in higher education. The Academic Enrichment course (ages 11–13, minimum B2) offers a challenging cross-curricular programme for younger students. Residential courses run in two-week blocks priced at £4,100, with three-, four- and six-week combinations available; non-residential places are also offered from £1,650 per week.

The published fee covers accommodation, lessons, all meals, course books and materials, excursions, laundry, activities and academies (except Golf, Horse Riding and Fencing), and the Sunday airport transfer service at Gatwick, Heathrow, London City and St Pancras within advertised hours (09:00–18:00). Pocket money, flights and out-of-hours transfers are not included.

Residential students stay in the school’s boarding accommodation under Whitgift’s boarding house system, on a school site in South London parkland.

All meals are included for residential students and are served in the school’s dining hall.

Afternoons and evenings combine activities and academies with a full excursion programme, all included in the fee. Specialist Golf, Horse Riding and Fencing academies are available at extra cost, and evening activities and student ambassadors are part of summer school life.

The summer school uses Whitgift School’s campus facilities, including its dining hall, performing arts centre, medical centre, libraries and extensive parkland grounds.
