Summer Course 20

سنُعلمك عندما يضيف المخيم مواعيد جديدة.

A residential German language summer school for students aged 12 to 17, held on an enclosed campus in central Vienna with a large private park. Classes, accommodation, full board and the daily activity programme all take place on the same grounds, a short walk from the city centre and next to an underground station. Students choose between twenty and thirty German lessons a week, taught in small groups by native-speaker teachers, and spend afternoons and evenings on sports, creative workshops, cultural visits around the city and evening events such as barbecues, discos and film nights. Boys and girls are accommodated in separate wings of the same building and supervision is provided around the clock.

حول

حول الدورة

Students choose between twenty and thirty German lessons a week. Both options are taught in the morning; the more intensive option adds a second block in the early afternoon. A lesson lasts forty-five minutes and classes run Monday to Friday in small groups, with an average of ten students and a maximum of fifteen. Teachers are native speakers, all levels from beginner upwards are accepted, and students are placed after a level check on arrival. Grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and listening are practised through communicative games, pair work and group work aimed at real-life situations. A preparation module for the OeSD German certificate can be added, and the examination can be taken on site.

ما الذي يتضمنه

The package covers tuition, accommodation on the campus, full board, the daily activity and sports programme, the evening programme, bed linen, free WiFi, course books on loan with a notebook and pen, round-the-clock supervision and a certificate at the end of the course. Excursions further afield, airport transfers, a Vienna transport ticket, insurance and the certificate examination are booked separately as extras. Stays run from one to five weeks, with arrival on a Sunday and departure on a Saturday.

الإقامة

Students live on the campus of a historic Vienna academy, in the same enclosed grounds as the classrooms, the dining hall and the sports facilities. Standard rooms sleep four to six students, with showers and toilets shared on each floor and kept separate for boys and girls. Superior rooms sleep two to four students and have a private shower in the room, with the toilet either in the room or on the same floor. Boys and girls are accommodated in separate wings of the same building. Roommates are matched by age while mixing nationalities, and individual requests are taken into account where possible.

خطة الوجبات

Full board is included, with three freshly prepared meals a day served in the dining hall. Breakfast is a buffet with bread and rolls, cold cuts and cheese, spreads, cereals and hot drinks. Lunch is a three-course meal with a soup or starter, a choice of main course and a dessert, mixing international dishes with traditional Austrian cooking. Dinner is another freshly cooked meal, occasionally served as a cold buffet after a full-day excursion. Vegetarian and vegan options are always available and halal meals can be requested when booking. Barbecue evenings are a regular part of the summer programme.

الأنشطة والرحلات

Afternoons and evenings are filled with sport and culture. Students play football, basketball, beach volleyball, tennis and table games, go swimming at outdoor pools and on the Danube island, try climbing and learn the Viennese waltz. Cultural sessions take in museums, palaces and historic districts of the city, with guided visits and university campus tours. Evenings bring discos on the school grounds, film screenings, quiz and games nights, barbecues and outings to see the city after dark. Shopping trips and day excursions beyond the city are also part of the wider programme.

المرافق

The campus belongs to a historic private academy in the city and has spacious grounds. Outdoors there are tennis, basketball and beach volleyball courts, a large football pitch and a barbecue area, all set in a private park. Indoors there are sports halls, recreation rooms, classrooms, a dining hall and the residence itself. Free WiFi covers the campus. The site is enclosed and supervised, a short walk from the city centre and directly beside an underground station.

تجربة المخيم

The camp suits families who want a real language course rather than a holiday with a few lessons, combined with the safety of a single closed site in a European capital. Everything happens in one place, so younger teenagers never travel unaccompanied between accommodation and classes, and staff are available at any hour. Students come from many countries, which means German is genuinely the shared language outside the classroom as well as inside it. Alongside the language, participants get a summer in Vienna: its museums and palaces, its parks and swimming spots, and evenings with friends from around the world.

المزيد عن هذا المعسكر

The camp is a German language summer school for children and teenagers aged 12 to 17, held on the campus of a historic private academy in central Vienna. Everything the programme needs is on one enclosed site: classrooms, the residence, the dining hall, sports courts and a large private park. The campus sits a short walk from the city centre and directly beside an underground station, which makes cultural outings straightforward without students ever having to travel between separate locations on their own. Two course options are offered. The lighter option gives twenty German lessons a week, taught in a morning block, and leaves afternoons free for the activity programme. The more intensive option gives thirty lessons a week by adding a second block in the early afternoon, and suits students who want to move up a level faster or who are working towards a certificate. A lesson lasts forty-five minutes, classes run Monday to Friday, and groups are kept small, with an average of ten students and a maximum of fifteen. Teachers are native speakers, and every level from complete beginner upwards is accepted, with placement decided by a level check after arrival. Lessons cover grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and listening, but the emphasis is on language that works outside the classroom, practised through communicative games and pair and group work. Students who want a formal qualification can add a preparation module for the OeSD German certificate and sit the examination on site. Accommodation is on campus. Standard rooms sleep four to six students, with showers and toilets shared on each floor and kept separate for boys and girls. Superior rooms sleep two to four and include a private shower in the room. Boys and girls are housed in separate wings of the same building. Roommates are matched by age while deliberately mixing nationalities, which is what turns the shared corridor into language practice. Full board is included: a breakfast buffet, a freshly cooked three-course lunch and a hot dinner, with vegetarian and vegan options always on offer and halal meals available on request at the time of booking. The leisure programme is included rather than charged separately. Sport on the campus grounds includes football, basketball, beach volleyball and tennis, and there are trips to outdoor pools and the Danube island for swimming, along with climbing and Viennese waltz lessons. Cultural sessions take students into museums, palaces and historic districts of the city with staff accompanying them. Evenings bring discos on the school grounds, film screenings, quiz and games nights and barbecues. Longer excursions beyond the city, guided culture specials, tennis coaching and a drama module in German are bookable separately for families who want to add to the standard week. Practical arrangements are designed around international families. Students arrive on a Sunday and leave on a Saturday, and stays of one to five weeks are available, although not every length is offered from every arrival date. Airport and station transfers can be arranged, including a personal meet-and-greet service. Staff are on site at all hours, all activities on and off campus are accompanied, and students need written parental permission before leaving the grounds independently. Medical cover is compulsory for every participant; students from the EU are covered by the European Health Insurance Card, and everyone else can add insurance through the school. Participants aged fifteen and over also need a Vienna public transport ticket, which is bookable as an extra, while younger students travel free on the city network in the summer months.
